Michael Jordan's 5 Kids: Everything to Know
Michael Jordan is a father to five kids: Jeffrey, Marcus, Jasmine, Victoria and Ysabel
Jacqueline Weiss is a contributing writer at PEOPLE. She has been working at PEOPLE since 2022. Her work has previously appeared in Food & Wine, Insider and Apartment Therapy.
Widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan has spent decades of time in the spotlight — yet he tends to keep his family life on the private side.
The former Chicago Bulls player is a father of five and a grandfather of one. Through his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy, he has three older children: Jeffrey, 35, Marcus , 33, and Jasmine, 31, who are all involved in the business side of basketball and their dad's Air Jordan line . He also welcomed twin daughters Victoria and Ysabel, 10, in 2014 with his current wife Yvette Prieto .
The NBA legend's status wasn't always apparent to his children. In a 2020 interview on Good Morning America , Jasmine explained how she first came to realize just how well-known her father was .
"I had kids and teachers and stuff at school telling me 'It's incredible your father is who he is.' And I'm thinking you all haven't met my father to my knowledge, how do you know this? So I did, I Googled him. And I found a lot clearly," she shared.
"I had that conversation with my father afterward and he just laughed and was like, 'Hey, there's no way to really tell you anything like that,' " Jasmine added. "But between him and my mom, they made sure that we felt like he was normal as can be and we grew up very normal and for that I'm grateful."
Here's everything to know about Michael Jordan's five children.
Jeffrey Jordan, 35
Jordan and Vanoy welcomed their first child, a son named Jeffrey Michael, on Nov. 18, 1988.
Growing up, Jeffrey was raised in a "competitive atmosphere." He spoke about his upbringing during a 2020 appearance on Good Morning America .
"He was tough and it was competitive ," Jeffrey said of his famous dad. "We always felt like the competitive atmosphere shaped us in a way that was for the better and got us prepared for what we were gonna face in the real world. We embraced it, but the switch was on."
He added that the 2020 ESPN documentary, The Last Dance , which chronicled the Bulls' 1997-98 season, allowed him to see his father in a new light.
"We got to see him when he came home and he was done with work — but being able to see him in his element, in his atmosphere with the team and see all the ups and downs of that season has been a treat to watch," he shared.
Jeffrey followed in his father's footsteps and pursued basketball from a young age. He enrolled at the University of Illinois in 2007, as a psychology major, and played as a preferred walk-on on the basketball team.
In June 2009, he announced he would be leaving the basketball team, but returned for the 2009-10 season, per ESPN . The following season, he transferred to the University of Central Florida where he played alongside his younger brother Marcus.
He currently works on the business side of the game, leading digital brand innovation for the Jordan label. On May 25, 2019, he married wife Radina Aneva .
Marcus Jordan, 33
On Dec. 24, 1990, Jordan and Vanoy welcomed their second child, son Marcus James.
Like his older brother, Marcus played basketball in high school and went on to play in college as well. He played at the University of Central Florida from 2009 until August 2012, when he left the team. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in hospitality management.
In May 2016, Jordan opened Trophy Room, a high-end sneaker store in Walt Disney World's Disney Springs shopping district. In 2019, the physical location closed and transitioned to an online-only business, per the Orlando Sentinel .
Marcus has been linked to Larsa Pippen , the ex-wife of his dad's Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen , since 2022. Though Pippen said the two were "just friends" in October 2022, by January 2023, a source told PEOPLE that the pair were "happy and dating." They were first spotted kissing in Miami before they went Instagram official with their relationship on Jan. 23, 2023.
Jasmine Jordan, 31
Jordan and Vanoy welcomed their third child together, daughter Jasmine, on Dec. 7, 1992.
While studying sports management at Syracuse University, she met her future husband Rakeem Christmas, who played on the school's basketball team. Jasmine and Christmas welcomed their son, Rakeem Michael Christmas, on May 4, 2019, making Jordan a first-time grandparent.
During an interview on Today , Jordan said he was enjoying his time as a grandparent. "It's fun because I can actually hold him and play with him and I'm having fun watching him," he said.
However, as Jasmine told Essence shortly after Rakeem's birth, the NBA star had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the title "Grandpa."
"He had to warm up to [it]," the mom of one explained. "At first he wanted my son to call him 'Mike' or 'Michael' and I'm like, 'Dad, we're not doing this. You have to accept the grandpa title. It is what it is.' "
Though she doesn't play basketball herself, she's still connected to the sport. According to a 2018 InStyle profile, she has worked as a field representative in sports marketing for Nike's Jordan line and also as a basketball operations coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets basketball team, which is owned by her father.
"You know what, my dad is just like me: very much a homebody and has always been a private person. He just so happened to have chosen a profession that was made for the public eye," she told the outlet about her father. "And honestly I think if he could've had his same career without the fame, he'd probably still do it. You won't catch him in New York City or L.A. unless it's for business."
Jasmine appeared on the March 2023 cover of Footwear News . In a corresponding interview, she talked about her role at the Jordan Brand and discussed the NCAA's new policy, which allows college athletes to profit off of themselves. She said that if the new rules had come into effect during her father's college basketball career, he could have stood to make a lot of money.
"Looking at his Funko Pop collectibles or the fact that people still wear his UNC jersey, to reap the benefits from it today, we're talking making trillions at this point," Jasmine said.
Victoria and Ysabel Jordan, 10
Just a few months after Jordan and his longtime girlfriend Prieto wed , the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. On Feb. 9, 2014, Prieto gave birth to identical twin daughters , Victoria and Ysabel.
"Yvette and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival," a spokeswoman for the couple told PEOPLE at the time.
The couple are extremely private about their daughters and have not shared any images of them.

Michael Jordan Biography
Born: February 17, 1963 Brooklyn, New York African American basketball player
Basketball superstar Michael Jordan is one of the most successful, popular, and wealthy athletes in college, Olympic, and professional sports history.
Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, one of James and Deloris Jordan's five children. The family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, when Michael was very young. His father worked as a General Electric plant supervisor, and his mother worked at a bank. His father taught him to work hard and not to be tempted by street life. His mother taught him to sew, clean, and do laundry. Jordan loved sports but failed to make his high school basketball team as a sophomore. He continued to practice and made the team the next year. After high school he accepted a basketball scholarship to the University of North Carolina, where he played under head coach Dean Smith.
In Jordan's first season at North Carolina he was named Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Rookie of the Year for 1982. The team won the ACC championship, and Jordan made the clutch jump shot that beat Georgetown University for the championship of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Jordan led the ACC in scoring as a sophomore and as a junior. The Sporting News named him college player of the year for both years. He left North Carolina after his junior year and was selected by the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as the third pick of the 1984 draft. Before joining the Bulls, Jordan was a member of the Summer 1984 United States Olympic basketball team that won the gold medal in Los Angeles, California.
Early pro years
When Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls they were a losing team, drawing only around six thousand fans to home games. Jordan quickly turned that around. His style of play and fierce spirit of competition reminded sportswriters and fans of Julius Erving (1950–), who had been a superstar player during the 1970s. Jordan's incredible leaping ability and hang time thrilled fans in arenas around the league. In his first season he was named to the All-Star team and was later honored as the league's Rookie of the Year.
By adding such players as Scottie Pippen, Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, and John Paxson around Jordan, the Bulls' management created a strong team that won the 1991 NBA title by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers. The next year, the Bulls repeated as NBA champions by beating the Portland Trail Blazers. In 1992 Jordan also played on the "Dream Team," which participated in the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. The Olympic Committee had voted to lift the ban on professional athletes participating in the games. The team easily won the gold medal, winning their eight games by an average margin of 43.7 points.
Unexpected retirement
In 1993, after a tough playoff series with the New York Knicks, the Bulls met the Phoenix Suns for the NBA championship. When it was over, Jordan was again playoff MVP, and Chicago had won a third straight title. That summer Jordan's father, James, was murdered by two men during a robbery attempt. Jordan was grief stricken, and his father's death, combined with media reports about his gambling, led him to announce his retirement from professional basketball in October. Jordan had won three straight NBA titles, three regular season MVP awards, three playoff MVP titles, seven consecutive scoring titles, and he was a member of the All-Star team every year that he was in the league. In just nine seasons he had become the Bulls all-time leading scorer.
In 1994–95 Jordan played for the Birmingham Barons, a minor league baseball team in the Chicago White Sox system. Although the seventeen-month experiment showed that he was not a major league baseball player, the experience and time away from basketball provided a much-needed rest and opportunity to regain his love of basketball.
Return to glory
When Jordan returned to the Chicago Bulls during the 1994–95 regular season, people wondered, "Could he do it again?" He played well, but he was obviously rusty. The Bulls were defeated in the playoffs by the Orlando Magic. After a summer of playing basketball during breaks from filming the live-action cartoon movie Space Jam, Jordan returned with a fierce determination to prove that he had the ability to get back on top. The 1995–96 Bulls finished the regular season 72–10, an NBA record for most wins in a season, and Jordan, with his shooting rhythm back, earned his eighth scoring title. He also became the tenth NBA player to score 25,000 career points and second fastest after Chamberlain to reach that mark. The Bulls went on to win their fourth NBA championship, overpowering the Seattle Supersonics in six games. Few who watched will ever forget how Jordan sank to his knees, head bent over the winning ball, in a moment of bittersweet victory and deep sadness. The game had been played on Father's Day, three years after his father's murder.
The defending champions had a tougher time during the 1996–97 season but entered the playoffs as expected. Sheer determination took the Bulls to their fifth NBA championship. Illness, injury, and at times a lack of concentration hurt the team. In the fifth game of the finals Jordan carried the team to victory despite suffering from a stomach virus. In the 1997–98 season the Bulls were again in the playoffs, and again they faced tough competition. As before, they were able to clinch the NBA championship, and Jordan claimed his sixth NBA finals MVP award.
Jordan's other professional life as a businessman was never off track. Profitable endorsements (ads in which he voiced his support for certain products) for companies such as Nike and Wheaties, as well as his own golf company and products such as Michael Jordan cologne (which reportedly sold 1.5 million bottles in its first two months), made Jordan a multimillionaire. In 1997 he was ranked the world's highest paid athlete, with a $30 million contract—the largest one-year salary in sports history—and approximately $40 million a year in endorsement fees.
Retired again
Jordan retired for a second time in 1999, ending his career on a high note just after the official end of a labor dispute between NBA players and team owners. Many people saw him as the greatest basketball player ever, and his retirement was called the end of an era. In 2000 Jordan became part-owner and president of basketball operations of the Washington Wizards. This made him only the third African American owner in the NBA. He also gained an ownership stake in the Washington Capitals hockey team. Also in 2000, Jordan celebrated the first year of his $1 million grant program to help teachers make a difference in their schools.
In September 2001, after months of rumors, Jordan announced that he was ending his three-year retirement to play for the Wizards at age thirty-eight. At a news conference to discuss his comeback, he said, "Physically, I know I'm not twenty-five years old, but I feel I can play the game of basketball on the highest level." The Wizards, who had won only nineteen games the season before, improved with the addition of Jordan. After being voted to play in his thirteenth All-Star game (during which he missed a slam dunk), Jordan had the Wizards in the race for the playoffs until suffering a knee injury and missing the last part of the season. He was also distracted in January 2002 when his wife Juanita, whom he married in 1989, filed for divorce. (They have three children.) The next month the divorce was called off. Jordan said he planned to play one more season for the Wizards.

Michael Jordan Kids: Everything About Them
This article was last updated by Sujan on June 15, 2023
A page illustration would not be justified on one of the most decorated players in NBA history, Michael Jordan. The star basketballer of the ’90s is a perfect combination of an artist and an athlete.
Michael Jordan remains a ‘homebody’ and fun dad for his five kids despite the fame. The basketball legend does not shy away from boasting his babies’ achievements but always manages to remain discreet.
Nevertheless, we fans are very curious to know where his kids are. Therefore, here is everything you need to know about MJ’s kids and their respective career choices.
Father of Five Kids
As mentioned earlier, Michael Jordan has always been private regarding his personal life. Well, you might question what secrets when he is already an apple to many eyes, a treasured idol achieving the unachievable.
However, the giant athlete is indeed a secretive father of five kids. He welcomed his first three little ones Jasmine, Jeffrey, and Marcus, with his first wife, and later had twin babies Victoria and Ysabel Jordan with his second wife.
Although MJ is famous as an athlete and a successful businessman, he’s just a dad and homebody for his kids. Thus, let’s look more into their lives.
First Child From First Marriage, Jeffrey Michael
Among Michael Jordan’s kids, born first to Jordan and his first wife, Juanita Vanoy , on November 18, 1988, Jeffrey Michael enjoyed a fun childhood.
Although his parents were divorced, they had shared custody of him and his two younger siblings, Marcus and Jasmine Jordan.
Furthermore, Jeffrey Michael became national media attention after three of his high school games were shown nationally on ESPN in 2007.

Jeffrey later graduated from Loyola Academy, receiving a scholarship. He was also enrolled as a preferred walk-on by Penn State, University of Illinois, and enrolled at Loyola as a psychology major with an academic scholarship.
Jeffrey eldest son later received a full athletic scholarship but left the University of Illinois’ basketball team to focus on school.
Jeffrey Jordan And Basketball
When Michael Jordan’s first wife, Vanoy, was pregnant with their first child, he didn’t believe he was his son and confirmed paternity within a few months.
Besides the trust factor, MJ’s son, Jeffery, proved to be his son, not once but many times, through his NBA career as well as philanthropic acts.
Aforementioned, Jeffery played basketball with his University team but withdrew from his team to focus on his career besides basketball.
However, Jeffrey resumed his basketball journey but decided not to pursue it as his career. His dad, Michael, would occasionally show up to games and give him advice.
Jeffrey not only shares basketball genes with his dad but also inherited his competitive nature.
Basketball became an integral part of the Jordan family, and his mother had to ban the Jordan siblings from playing one-on-one.
Jeffrey, Co-founder of “Heir Jordan”
The former American basketball player Jeffrey is the co-founder of Heir Jordan, a philanthropic foundation alongside his younger brother, Marcus Jordan. The foundation focuses on investment and philanthropy.
Jeffrey works for the Jordan brand at Nike, where he leads the brand’s digital innovation.
While talking with Forbes, Air Jordan’s eldest son revealed that his role is to conceptualize and test new technologies, trends, and platforms to enhance their campaigns’ marketing power and cohesiveness.
The oldest Jordan further clarified that his job answers the “How-to” questions and uses exciting digital trends to tell brand stories.”
Likewise, Jeffrey also aids in continuing the Jordan legacy as a co-founder of Jordan Avakian Group , a mentoring and investing with sports/entertainment startups.
Besides conquering careerwise, Jeffrey is a married man and tied knot with Radina Aneva in 2019. Although Jeffery’s Instagram looks like a complete ode to his father, he occasionally shares pictures of his beloved wife.
Jeffrey Jordan’s net worth is pretty substantial through business, a Jordan heir, and several philanthropic ventures.
Well, Jeffery Jordan is very close to his father and has a strong bond with his siblings.
MJ’s Second Child, Marcus Jordan
Marcus Jordan, born on December 24, 1990, is an American former college basketball star for UCF Knights men’s basketball team.
The second oldest kid of the retired Hall of fame basketball star, Marcus, followed his father’s footsteps in college like his older brother. However, the internet never stopped comparing and made an argument, “Marcus is a better player than Jordan.”
Marcus played basketball at the University of Central Florida in Florida. He was in the final year of a five-year contract with Adidas during his freshman year at UCF but insisted on wearing Nike Air Jordan out of loyalty to his father.
Similar to Marcus’ brother, Jeffrey, he departed the team in January 2010. He continued his studies at the college for a career away from NBA after that.
Marcus was Described as “Very Animated and Uncooperative”
There is always more than hoops in the Jordan family; why would anyone expect anything else? But with Marcus Jordan, there was much more than just hoops but loyalty to his father.
As mentioned earlier, Marcus Jordan joined the UCF basketball team; however, during the UCF exhibition, he refused to change his Nike Air Jordan to show his loyalty to Nike.
Consequently, Adidas got concerned and ended the sponsorship contract with UCF. Furthermore, according to Bleacher Report, the termination of the contract cost the school its $3 million deal.
Thanks to Marcus, UCF still managed to bag multiple victories and successes despite the massive loss. However, Marcus had trouble with his university and was arrested in Omaha due to a ‘disturbance outside a downtown.’
Furthermore, the authorities described the young Jordan as ‘very animated, intoxicated, and uncooperative.” Also, it appears it took more than one police officer to handcuff him, and he was booked for resisting arrest, obstructing, and disorderly conduct.
Well, Marcus has now ended his college basketball career and started his venture.
Marcus, CEO of Trophy Room
Marcus’ LinkedIn reveals he graduated with a hospitality administration/management degree from the University of Central Florida in 2013.
He serves as the founder and CEO of Trophy Room, a Jordan-inspired sneakers boutique.
Well, the initiation of the boutique was not frown-immune, which translates to his father, Michael Jordan’s ‘NO.’ Originally located in Orlando’s Disneyland, the shop has since moved online.
Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room’s web presence showers some idea of what will be an offer, i.e., vintage sneakers, accessories, and designer T-shirts featuring circa 2010.
Furthermore, the former UCF Knights basketball player recently planned to open a retail shrine to his father in downtown Orlando.
He is relocating the Trophy Room to the Modera Central apartment building at East Pine Street and South Rosalind Avenue.
Jasmine Mickael Jordan Did Not Believe Her Father Was Famous
The feeling of being tricked when you’re a legend’s kid always remains fresh.
Likewise is the story of Michael Jordan’s oldest daughter, Jasmine Jordan, who did not understand the scope of her father’s career INITIALLY.
While talking to InStyle in 2018, Jasmine said, ‘he was ‘dad.’ and that was it. It wasn’t until her pre-teen at about 12 or 13 years old that she clinched onto Youtube and searched “Michael Jordan” just to discover why everyone was so obsessed.
Jasmine further added, being told, “You’re so lucky to have Michael Jordan as a dad” by her classmates. She recalls being questioned, “what it was like,” and answering,” he’s my dad.”
“Jasmine questioned her father, “why do you think you’re the greatest?” and he’d laugh.
When talking about her father, Jasmine revealed that she and her dad are very much alike, homebodies and private people.
She further added that her father just so happened to choose a profession made for the public eye. She further nudged the people won’t catch him in NYC or LA unless it is for business. Jasmine states FACTS.
Jasmine also revealed that she is a combination of her brothers, Jeffrey, a homebody, and Marcus, who doesn’t mind showing up to a party or doing interviews.
As of now, the confused little girl has grown up into a beautiful woman and has started her career.
Exceptionally Down-to-earth, Jasmine Mickael Jordan
Born to Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy on December 7, 1992, Jasmine Michael Jordan grew up modestly. As anyone would guess, her life would be flashy, but to everyone’s surprise, she’s kept a low profile.
Jasmine attended public school in Chicago and attended Syracuse University to attain a degree in sports management.
As of now, she works as a field representative for the Nike Jordan brand. She helped with the design, colorways, and direction of the Jordan Heiress collection, which dropped back in 2017.
Furthermore, when Jasmine is not at Nike’s headquarters, she works with the Hornets, Michael Jordan’s NBA team.
While in an interview with InStyle, Jasmine talked about working as a basketball operations coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets for four seasons.
However, she currently represents some of the Hornet Jordan players, Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Dwayne Bacon , to name a few.
Being Michael Jordan’s daughter comes with many people’s assumptions, but Jasmine is very down-to-earth. So naturally, therefore, she believes she is her father’s daughter and, undeniably, is a person of her own.

- Michael Jordan is a former basketball pro best known for his success on the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s
- Michael has five kids between two marriages
- He became a grandfather in 2019
Michael Jordan , 60, is by all accounts an NBA legend, having led the Chicago Bulls to six championship wins during the 1990s. Unsurprisingly, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. Michael retired from the NBA (for the third but final time) in 2003 with an impressive resume. Not only did he finish his NBA career with six championship titles, he also was a five-time NBA MVP, 14-time All-Star, and two-time Olympic gold medalist.
In addition to being a legendary basketball player, he was a businessman as well. He signed a lucrative and long-lasting deal with Nike in the 1980s, and between his second and third retirement, he partially bought the Washington Wizards and became the team’s president of basketball operations. About two decades later, he was back in the headlines for his deal to sell his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets to a group of investors. The sale was valued at $3 billion, according to ESPN .
On top of being as savvy as a businessman, as he was a basketball player, Michael is a father to five kids: Jeffrey , 34, Marcus , 32, Jasmine , 30, and 9-year-old twins Victoria and Ysabel . The NBA goliath shares his youngest twins with his current wife Yvette Prieto , whom he wed in 2013, and his three adult children with his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy . Jeffrey is the eldest child shared by Michael and his first wife, Juanita. A former basketball player for the University of Illinois and Central Florida, he parlayed into business and currently leads brand digital innovation for the Jordan Brand. “I conceptualize and test new technologies, trends, platforms (such as Esports, Podcasts/Audio content, etc.) to enhance the marketing power and the cohesiveness of our marketing campaigns,” He told Forbes of his role in April 2020. “My job basically is to answer the question, ‘How can we utilize cool, new, exciting digital trends to tell our brand stories?'” He married Radina Aneva in 2019.
The same year, Jeffrey remember the Jordan household as a competitive environment. “He was tough and it was competitive,” Jeffrey said on Good Morning America . “We always felt like the competitive atmosphere shaped us in a way that was for the better and got us prepared for what we were gonna face in the real world. We embraced it, but the switch was on.”
Unfortunately, in 2021, the eldest Jordan son was arrested after being accused of assaulting staff at a hospital in Arizona, per Fox 10 . He was in the hospital after falling at the Casa Amigos restaurant in Scottsdale. It’s not clear if he was ever charged.
Marcus James Jordan
Marcus is the middle child of Michael and Juanita. He previously played basketball for the University of Central Florida, where he studied hospitality management. After he graduated from college, Marcus followed his brother Jeffrey’s footsteps and into business. Marcus is the founder and CEO of The Trophy Room , a retailer described as an “elevated retail boutique inspired by the trophy room within the Jordan family residence.” It features footwear and apparel from Jordan and Nike.

Marcus made headlines in 2022 and 2023 for dating Larsa Pippen , who is 16 years older than him. Their relationship has raised some eyebrows, as Marcus’ famous father played for the Chicago Bulls alongside Larsa’s ex-husband , Scottie Pippen , in the ’80s and ’90s. The former teammates are not friends . Larsa defended her romance with Marcus on the Tamron Hall Show in Feb. 2023. “I personally don’t really care what other people [think] – I live my truth. I’m happy. We get along. I feel like [Marcus] is my best friend. We have a lot in common,” she stated.
Jasmine Mickael Jordan
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jasmine M. Jordan (@mickijae)
Jasmine is the only daughter between Michael and Juanita. While she does not have a career in basketball, she does reside in the world of sports and, of course, sneakers. Jasmine studied sports management at Syracuse University and currently works as a field representative for women’s sport marketing for Nike Jordan. Before joining the family business, Jasmine was the basketball operations coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets.
Most recently, she has been passionately growing an incredibly talented team of women basketball players under the Jordan brand. The brand signed its first NIL (image, likeness) high school recruit for the brand in Feb. 2022.
In a March interview, Jasmine explained why she prefers to work for her father’s company. “I can go anywhere off my name, my degree and merits, but am I going to find myself? Probably not,” she explained to Footwear News in March 2023. “And I love my family. It’s a huge part of why I do what I do. I love that anything I do is driven from a place of heart and genuine care.”
“I don’t need to say, ‘I’m Michael Jordan’s daughter.’ That’s not necessary,” she proudly stated while discussing her flourishing career. “Acknowledging the elephant in the room and not letting it dictate how I move is important, so I can carve out my legacy. My dad’s shoes are big shoes to fill, and I have no desire to fill them.”
Jasmine previously admitted she had no idea how bug of a deal her father was until she was a teenager.
“He was ‘dad,’ and that was it,” she explained to InStyle in 2018. “It wasn’t until my pre-teens at about 12 or 13 years old that I literally went on YouTube and looked up ‘Michael Jordan’ just to see why everyone was so obsessed. I remember being younger and my classmates telling me, ‘You’re so lucky to have Michael Jordan as a dad.’”
She continued, “They always questioned what it was like, and all I could say is ‘he’s just my dad and it’s fun.’ It didn’t hit me that he was the phenomenon that he is. I would ask him questions all the time like, ‘Why do you think you’re the greatest?’ and he would just laugh.”
Jamine is engaged to Syracuse alum and former basketball player Rakeem Christmas . The pair welcomed a don, Rakeem Michael Christmas , in 2019.
Victoria and Ysabel Jordan
Twins Victoria and Ysabel were born in Feb. 2014, one year after Michael and Yvette walked down the aisle. The former NBA player’s rep confirmed the news at the time in a statement that read, “Yvette and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival.” Given Michael’s private, low-key nature about his family, not too much is known about the twins. Michael (understandably) does not share photos of the girls on his Instagram or Twitter , nor does his wife appear to have an online presence.
Meet Michael Jordan’s five kids - all about his family life
Chicago bulls legend michael jordan is now a grandfather.
Michael Jordan is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time, winning six championships with the Chicago Bulls. But with all his successes, he's still managed to be a devoted father to his five children.
"That experience of being a husband and a father provided a balance and a focus away from basketball", the basketball player, 61, said of fatherhood. While his prowess on the court is no secret, he's kept his family life under wraps.
Michael has been married twice. First he tied the knot with Juanita Vanoy, with whom he shares Justin, Marcus and Jasmine. When he remarried to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto in 2013, the couple had twin daughters Victoria and Ysabel.
Naturally given the basketballer's incredible legacy, you might presume that his kids would follow in his footsteps - and in many ways they have maintained a strong relationship with the sport.
Here's the rundown of Michael Jordan's five children.
Jeffrey, 35
As the eldest son of Michael Jordan, born November 18, 1988, Jeffrey was subject to media attention growing up. Three of his high school games were shown nationally on ESPN in 2007.
Jeffrey has spoken about the pressure to meet his dad's expectations. "He was tough and it was competitive," Jeffrey said of his famous dad.
"We always felt like the competitive atmosphere shaped us in a way that was for the better and got us prepared for what we were gonna face in the real world. We embraced it, but the switch was on."
In 2007, he played basketball at the University of Illinois, majoring in psychology. He left the team in 2009, returned for the 2009-10 season. The season after, he made a surprise move to transfer to the University of Central Florida, playing alongside his younger brother Marcus.
Nowadays, Jeffrey instead is a businessman. In 2020, he co-founded the Jordan Avakian Group, a Chicago-based consultant group. He is married to Radina Aneva.
Juanita and Michael welcomed their second son, Marcus, on December 24, 1990. Like his older brother, Marcus had a career in college basketball at the University of Central Florida. He also departed the team in 2012, but graduated in 2013 with a degree in hospitality management.
Marcus has been linked with Larsa Pippen, the daughter of his father's famous Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen . The duo have been on and off since 2022, finally calling it quits in March 2024.
Jasmine, 31
Born December 7, 1992, Jasmine was Michael's first daughter and last child with Juanita. Growing up, Jasmine felt oblivious to her father's incredible success.
She shared on Good Morning America: "I had kids and teachers and stuff at school telling me 'It's incredible your father is who he is.' And I'm thinking you all haven't met my father to my knowledge, how do you know this? So I did, I Googled him."
Afterwards, she had a conversation with Michael who "just laughed and was like, 'Hey, there's no way to really tell you anything like that!'"
"But between him and my mom, they made sure that we felt like he was normal as can be and we grew up very normal and for that I'm grateful."
She went on to study sports management at Syracuse University, where she met her future husband Rakeem Christmas, who played on the school's basketball team. Rakeem remains a professional basketball player, and the couple welcomed their son, Rakeem Michael Christmas, on May 14, 2019.
Michael said of being a grandparent: "It's fun because I can actually hold him and play with him and I'm having fun watching him."

NBA Legend Michael Jordan Is the Proud Father of Five Children From Two Marriages
Published Sep. 27 2021, 1:56 p.m. ET
The legacy that NBA legend and icon Michael Jordan has built is one that’s unmatched. Not only did Michael win six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, but he also has six NBA Final MVP awards — the most for any basketball player in history. In other words, MJ is the G.O.A.T.!
Michael has been married twice. Some of his children have made headlines over the years, including his son, Jeffrey Michael Jordan , which has caused fans to have a growing interest in the NBA legend’s family life. For starters, how many children does Michael Jordan have? Keep reading to get your answer.
Michael Jordan is a father of five children — three from his first marriage and two from his present union.
It’s easy to believe that greatness is passed down to each generation, especially when Michael Jordan is the parent in question. And it appears that Michael’s children are living up to his legacy in their own ways.
According to Marie Claire , Michael welcomed three children (Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine) with his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, throughout their 17-year marriage.
Jeffrey Michael Jordan is the oldest of Michael and Juanita's children and was born on Nov. 18, 1988. The 32-year-old currently works at Nike, leading the Jordan Brand digital innovation team, per Forbes . The former University of Illinois basketball star also founded the Jordan Avakian Group — with his friend Sevan Avakian — which focuses on collaborating with, investing in, and consulting for start-up companies in the sports and entertainment space.

Marcus James Jordan was born on Dec. 24, 1990. Like his older brother, he also played college ball at the University of Central Florida. The 30-year-old has since moved on to create his own company, Trophy Room , an online boutique that sells Jordan fashions.
Jasmine Mickael Jordan, the youngest of the trio, was born on Dec. 7, 1992. She studied sports management at Syracuse University and has been working for the Jordan Brand with her brother Marcus.

After Michael and Juanita split in December 2006 , the icon went on to marry Yvette Prieto in April 2013 . The couple shares twins, Victoria and Ysabel, born on Feb. 9, 2014.
Jeffrey Jordan has been accused of assaulting hospital staff in Scottsdale, AZ.
Per TMZ , Jeffrey Jordan has landed himself in hot water. The outlet shares that Jeffrey was reported for aggravated assault against a healthcare professional while being treated at a hospital. The 32-year-old has since been released and has not yet been arrested or charged with a crime.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office will have to decide if Jeffrey Jordan's incident with hospital staff overnight is enough to charge him. He was released from the jail at about 2:14pm. Jordan was booked for one count of Aggravated Assault-Healthcare Professional. pic.twitter.com/d6ObnIS7lW — Jon Brines (@JonBrines) September 25, 2021
The incident reportedly started at a Casa Amigas bar in Scottsdale, AZ. Authorities share that Jeffrey “fell and hit his head” and became aggressive with security that stepped in to help him leave the bar to receive medical treatment.
The police responded to the call and ruled the incident “medical in nature” after interviewing witnesses. Jeffrey was then taken to the hospital via an ambulance. However, things took a turn once Jeffrey arrived at the hospital.
Jeffrey was accused of assaulting members of the hospital staff who were attempting to treat his injury. Sources said that Jeffrey seemed “confused and disoriented following the fall.”
Police told TMZ that "relevant reports will be sent to the Maricopa County Prosecutors Office," which will be reviewed to see if "charges are warranted."
🗣No Jeffrey Jordan slander will be tolerated 🚫 #GuhSuckYuhMadda — Plain Jane (@BellaTainted) September 26, 2021
Since Jeffrey’s arrest, he has remained tight-lipped about the incident on social media. But, we’re hopeful that all parties will be able to handle the situation as seamlessly as possible.

Who Are Michael Jordan's Children, Jeffrey, Marcus, Jasmine, Victoria, and Ysabel?
"No joke, I Googled him and was like, 'Okay, now I get it.'"
After spending the past couple of Sundays glued to ESPN's The Last Dance , a 10-part docuseries about Michael Jordan's time with the Chicago Bulls during its final championship season of 1997-98 , I wanted to know more about the basketball star's life outside of the court. Maybe it's the nosy side of me (I'll admit it!), but, also, learning more about someone I admire is just interesting to me? Whether it's an actor who ended up hating the role that made them famous, or who's had the shortest marriages of all time, I like to know!
The legend himself has been married twice: Once for 17 years to Juanita Vanoy , and currently since 2013 to Yvette Prieto . He shares three kids with Vanoy, and two more with Prieto. And in case you're wondering, we do get a glimpse of them in the series. Sure, the kids were young when their father had that final championship season, but they did remember something! In episode ten, for under a minute, we did get a small moment with two of Jordan's heirs. Director Jason Hehir asks Jordan's sons if they attended the 1998 Finals in Utah. "No," says Jeffrey Jordan, the oldest of Jordan's children. "We were watching in the basement." Marcus, another one of Jordan's son, continued, "[Mom Juanita] felt like Utah was a little hostile for us." That seems to be somewhat of a trend for the Jordan kids—kept out of the spotlight to protect them, but called upon to excel in their own ways, much like Michael was as a child . Ahead, learn more Michael Jordan's five children, Jeffrey, Marcus, Jasmine, Victoria, and Ysabel.
Jordan had three children with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy.
Jeffrey Michael Jordan
The oldest son of Jordan and Vanoy was born on November 18, 1988. When he was born, Jordan at first didn't believe he was his son. "She told me she was pregnant, unwed, and that the father of the child was Michael Jordan," Vanoy's attorney Michael Minton said to The Washington Post about meeting with her in July 1988. "She felt she could not get Michael's attention or cooperation or response without the retention of a legal representative." Jordan later "admitted paternity within a few months," and when they tied the knot in Vegas, Jeffrey was at their wedding.
Jeffrey ended up playing basketball like his father, but not professionally. He went to college at the University of Illinois to play basketball for three seasons and then transferred to the University of Central Florida in 2010 to continue playing ball. Michael would occasionally show up to games and apparently gave his son advice. Jeffrey said that basketball was a way of life at home, and that things got so competitive his mom had to ban them from playing one-on-one. At one point, Michael tackled Jeffrey and gave him 30(!) stitches—but still insists the competition was all in good fun, mostly.
In 2019, he got married to his wife, Radina Aneva. Today he currently works for the Jordan brand at Nike, where he leads the brand's digital innovation, according to Forbes . He's also continuing the legacy in other ways, as cofounder of Heir Jordan (which focuses on investment and philanthropy) and Jordan Avakian Group, or JAG (mentoring and investing with sports/entertainment startups).
Even though Vanoy controversially didn't appear in the series , Jeffrey gave her a shoutout. "There’s so much spotlight and so much publicity, she made sure we saw the family and we went to the South Side and she made sure we were going to be successful individuals, not just successful children of Michael Jordan."
Marcus James Jordan
Born on December 24, 1990, Marcus is the middle child of Jordan and Vanoy . Like his older brother, he played basketball growing up, and for practice, he and his brother would sometimes play with their dad. " The game got so competitive [one time], to the point I literally had to call my mom, [and tell her], 'Dad's picking on me,'" Marcus said on the TODAY show. "I was a freshman in high school. There was nothing given. You had to earn everything."

Marcus went to college at the University of Central Florida and played basketball there too. While he played there, he caused a bit of controversy when he wore white Nike Air Jordans instead of Adidas on the court. At the time, the school was under a contract with Adidas, and Marcus' decision cost the school millions, said the L.A. Times .
Marcus is now in charge of his own company called Trophy Room . It's an online boutique that sells mainly Jordan-based fashion and is inspired by the trophy room in his dad's residence. Uh, sounds like the coolest flex ever.
Marcus is fairly laidback on social media but did share some Trophy Room details when he partnered with The Container Store in 2019 to clean up his (insanely large, by the looks of it) collection.
A post shared by Marcus Jordan (@heirmj523) A photo posted by on
And he posted in 2016 a throwback photo of him, his dad, his two siblings, and Vanoy.
As to what he thinks about the documentary, in an interview with CBS Chicago , he said about the series, "Not only is it great for young kids who never got to see my dad play, it’s also good for those that did follow along, but didn’t really understand what was going on behind the scenes."
Jasmine Mickael Jordan
The youngest child of Jordan and Vanoy was born on December 7, 1992. Unlike her brothers, she didn't follow their lead on playing basketball, but that doesn't mean she wasn't keenly aware of the impact her father has had on the sport.
A post shared by Jasmine M. Jordan (@mickijae) A photo posted by on
In an interview on TODAY, she spilled the details on when she realized just how important her dad was. "I was like 10, 11 years old when I finally just Googled him and was trying to understand why everyone was so obsessed, why everyone didn't think he just had a regular job like I did," she said on the show. "It definitely took a minute for it to hit me, but no joke, I Googled him and was like, 'OK, now I get it.'"
She ended up studying sports management at Syracuse University, where she met Rakeem Christmas. The pair together had a baby boy, Rakeem Michael Christmas, in 2019, who's Jordan's first grandchild. Today, Jasmine works for the Nike Jordan brand with her older brother Marcus—scheduling appearances, photoshoots, and media coverage for the Charlotte Hornets.
In an interview with NBA.com , Jasmine explained that when she watches the series episodes on Sundays, that's the first time she sees them. She was five years old when this all took place, so naturally, she has some questions, and who's better to ask than her father?
"I'm definitely texting him nonstop, she said to NBA.com . "I think there hasn't been an episode, a Sunday where I haven't been like, 'This happened—let me know your thoughts,' I was super young, so I'm really taking this in as a fan."
She also posted a throwback to her mom this past June:
Jordan has two children with his wife Yvette Prieto.
Victoria and Ysabel Jordan
Identical twins Victoria and Ysabel Jordan were born on Febuary 9, 2014. Jordan met his second wife, Prieto, at a nightclub in Miami in 2007. They later had an estimated $10 million wedding in 2013 at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, followed by a reception at Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida.
Less than a year later, the twins were born and are now growing up at Michael and Yvette's home in South Florida. Unlike their half-siblings, because the twins so much younger, their lives are, understandably, kept very private.

Michael Jordan's kids: Everything you need to know about Jeffrey, Marcus, Jasmine, Ysabel, Victoria
It is natural to wonder about the children of famous athletes. What about the children with the genes of the Greatest of All Time, Michael Jordan?
There's a soft spot in every sports fan's heart for the children of their favorite athlete. Bronny James has always had a cult-like following on social media ever since he joined the JV team. The father – son relationship between Stephen Curry and former NBA player Dell Curry has always been a fun little wrinkle in his rapid rise to stardom. But what about the children with the genes of the Greatest of All Time, Michael Jordan ?
The man himself, Michael Jordan, gave his genetic makeup to five children – Jeffrey, Marcus, Jasmine, Ysabel, and Victoria.
Despite overwhelming success and a global spotlight, Michael Jordan has always been a private person. His children maintain that he made sure to shield them from being exposed too much to the public eye. In their household, he was just their normal dad.
In depth with Michael Jordan:
“I definitely didn't realize growing up who he was. He was “Dad,” and that was it.” said her eldest daughter Jasmine said, sharing in her pre-teens she finally searched him online “to see why everyone was so obsessed” “It didn't hit me that he was the phenomenon that he is,” she said. “I would ask him questions all the time like, “Why do you think you're the greatest?” and he would just laugh.”
Here's everything you need to know about the children raised by Michael Jordan:
Jeffrey Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan's eldest child Jeffrey was his first born with former wife Juanita Vanoy. Jeffrey is 31 years old and shares that he lived a fairly “normal” life with his siblings.
He initially followed in Michael Jordan's footsteps and played division I basketball in the University of Illinois, and eventually transferred to the University of Central Florida where he got his degree. He's a 6'1 guard that played well enough in high school to merit his recruitment offers, but failed to stand out in the next level. His per-game averages were a less than pedestrian 1.6 points, 0.8 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game in combined action for Illinois and Central Florida.
He currently works for his the company that spreads his father's likeness, the Jordan Brand. Like every other millennial, he's also active on Twitter and Instagram .
Marcus James Jordan
Marcus James Jordan is Jeffrey's younger brother. He also played ball in high school as a standout at Whitney Young. He gradually improved and led the team to the 4A state title in Illinois where he scored a game-high 19 points, including a pair of clutch free throws, to clinch the championship. Michael Jordan surely approved.
He performed quite better than his older brother in the college ranks. He also attended the University of Central Florida as a three star recruit. During his freshman campaign, Marcus was named to the Conference USA all-freshman team after averaging a solid eight points per contest.
He finished his career with the Knights with averages of 12.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. But he was most famous for making headlines when he refused to give up his Nike Jordans for the team's sponsored Adidas merchandise. This cost his school millions in terms of lost support from the Nike rival. It's not what Michael Jordan averaged in college, but it was certainly respectable.
You can follow him on Twitter or Instagram .
Jasmine Mickael Jordan
Jasmine Mickael Jordan is 27 years old, and the youngest of Michael Jordan's children from his first wife Juanita. Like almost any fan of his airness, she keeps a wide collection of her father's signature shoes. An avid sneaker head, she owns around 300 pairs in her North Carolina home alone, and that doesn't include the ones in each of her parents' houses. She eventually took up sports management at Syracuse University and has made a career out of her love for sports by working for Jordan Brand.
She splits her time between Nike's HQ in Oregon, her mom's home in Illinois, and her father's home in Florida. Charlotte, North Carolina, is where she considers her first home. Michael Jordan owns the hometown Hornets.
Jasmine recently gave birth to a baby boy in 2019 named Rakeem Michael Christmas. He was named after Michael Jordan and her fiancee Rakeem Christmas, who played basketball at Syracuse. He had a cup of coffee in the NBA as well, for MJ's Eastern Conference rival the Indiana Pacers.
You can follow her on Twitter or Instagram .
Victoria and Ysabel Jordan
Michael Jordan also has a pair of twin baby girls with his current wife Yvette Prieto Jordan. Victoria and Ysabel Jordan were born on Feb. 9, 2014. The pair of 6 year olds are identical twins and are currently being raised in Michael's and Yvette's household located in South Florida.
Michael Jordan and Yvette initially met in 2008, and eventually got married five years later. Yvette Jordan gave birth to their new born twins the following year.

Who are Michael Jordan's children and did any of them play in the NBA? A look at their professional journeys
Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls legend, is one of the planet’s most recognizable faces and famous names. He is considered by many to be the greatest player to ever play basketball and a walking multi-million business enterprise.
Despite his fame, Jordan has largely managed to keep his private life a lower profile than his basketball and business persona. He has kept it to the extent that his children are somewhat unknown to many NBA fans.
MJ had three kids with his former wife, Juanita Vanoy, to whom he was married for 17 years. Jeffrey, 34, Marcus, 32, and Jasmine, 30, were all born when Michael Jordan was still writing his GOAT-worthy resume with the Bulls.
The five-time NBA MVP also has twins with model Yvette Prieto, his wife for the past 10 years. Victoria and Ysabel were born in February 2014 and are now both nine years old.

Here's a glimpse at the life of Michael Jordan’s children with Juanita Vanoy.
Jeffrey Jordan
Jeffrey Jordan probably had the toughest life among Michael Jordan’s children.
He was born on November 18, 1988, and was already hounded by media and basketball fans at a very young age. The Chicago Bulls superstar was the unquestioned god of basketball at the time and so his shadow loomed large over Jeffrey.
While playing for Loyola Academy in high school, ESPN covered and showed three of his games nationally. The pressure of living up to expectations was probably unimaginable.
Jeffrey Jordan was also invited to play in the Jordan Brand Classic, an All-Star game featuring the best high-school prospects in America.
After his stint at Loyola, Jeffery Jordan enrolled at the University of Illinois. He played three seasons for the Fighting Illini, mainly as a role player. He averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 assists in 92 games. It was already very clear that he wasn’t going to follow in his father’s footsteps to the NBA.
The Illinois guard left the school and went to the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he played for two more seasons of college hoops. He played only 13 games before leaving UCF to concentrate on his life outside of basketball.
Between his transfer from Illinois to UCF, he worked as an intern for Nike. He is now one of the bigwigs that handles the innovative side of the Jordan brand .
Marcus Jordan
Marcus Jordan was born on December 24, 1990. He played two seasons of high school hoops with his older brother Jeffrey Jordan. Together, they led the Loyola Academy to its most successful season in school history.
Marcus, however, left Loyola and played for Whitney Young Magnet High School for two more seasons before going to the University of Central Florida. At UCF, he also became teammates again with Jeffrey for a little while before the elder brother called it quits.
Marcus Jordan ended his university days in Florida with a degree in hospitality management. Like Jeffrey, he was not good enough to even sniff the NBA.
In 2016, Michael Jordan’s youngest son opened the “Trophy Room,” a sneakers store in Walt Disney that offers some of the hottest kicks around . The store also houses some of Jordan’s most prized NBA memorabilia, adding prestige to Marcus’ pet business.
Marcus Jordan has been in the headlines for dating Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Michael Jordan’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen .
Jasmine Jordan
Unlike her brothers, Jasmine Jordan didn’t take up basketball. She studied sports management at Syracuse University, where she met her future husband Rakeem Christmas. Her then-boyfriend, however, played four seasons for Syracuse and was perhaps a better player than any of Michael Jordan’s sons.
In December 2019, the couple had a son, Rakeem Michael Christmas, officially making “His Airness” a grandfather.
Jasmine currently works as part of the Charlotte Hornets basketball operations side of the franchise . She’s also still involved with the Jordan brand.

Beyond his on-court charm, charisma, and talent, people are often interested in his love life, what his family looks like, who the members of his family are, and what his parenting life looks like.
The NBA, like Hollywood, has a long history of broken homes and paternal problems but in the case of Michael Jordan, he has been a supportive father to all his children despite the fact that he couldn’t keep up with the first woman he vowed to live with all the days of his life. He has been playing a vital role in the life of each of his children and they all respect him for all his sacrifices towards their career and everything they believe in.
Let’s take a look at the number of kids the NBA megastar has and who they really are; from the eldest to the youngest of them all.
Meet Michael Jordan’s Children

The 14-time NBA All-Star has five children from two marriages. He has three older children whom he fathered with his first wife Juanita Vanoy and two little daughters from his marriage to Yvette Prieto, his second wife. Michael Jordan, in all fairness, is a proud husband and dad who is surrounded by talented people. Beyond raising his five kids, the former pro basketball player has supported young people through the Jordan Brand for charity purposes.
Michael Jordan’s First Son, Jeffery Jordan, was with Juanita Vanoy
Jeff, born Jeffrey Michael Jordan, is the first son of Michael Jordan and his first wife Juanita Vanoy. He was born on the 18th day of November 18, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America.
As the son of an iconic basketball player, it was natural for Jeff to follow in his father’s footsteps. He started playing serious basketball games in high school, Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois to be precise. Being an exceptional point guard, the younger Jordan was a starter for his school’s team for three years. His career at Loyola also attracted wide coverage from both the local and national media with three of his games airing on ESPN in the year 2007.
Jeffrey ended his high school career as All-Catholic League (twice) and was part of those who featured at the Jordan Brand Classic in 2007. He also tried his hands on football in his tenth-grade year but found basketball more interesting. Michael’s first son graduated from high school in 2007 and was offered basketball scholarships by several universities including Loyola University Chicago and Valparaiso.
In the long run, Jeff decided to commit to the University of Illinois, where he majored in Psychology under a full scholarship. He left Illinois’s basketball team in 2010 to focus on his studies and other things fully after which he transferred to the University of Central Florida to join his younger brother. The young man eventually left UCF’s basketball team just after two years for “personal reasons”.
Jeffery Michael Jordan has since branched out into business after abandoning basketball. He has now delved into shoe business (like his father) with the same brand Michael Jordan had a decades-long lucrative deal with, Nike. The basketball player-turned-businessman currently resides in Portland, Oregon, where he brings his business expertise to bear at a Nike branch in Oregon.
Juanita’s first is happily married as well. He has been in a fulfilling relationship with the only woman his heart longs for – Radina Aneva. The pair got engaged in 2017 and subsequently tied the knot in the month of May 2019 in the presence of their friends and families.
Aneva works at Twentieth Century Fox in Los Angeles as an accounts receivable analyst. She moved to the United States from Bulgaria, a country in Europe. Jeff and his wife have been making great strides as a couple.
His First Marriage To Juanita Vanoy Also Produced His S econd Son, Marcus Jordan
Marcus, born Marcus James Jordan, is the second son of Michael Jordan. His mother gave birth to him in Chicago, Illinois, on 24th December 1990. He was brought up in Highland Park, Illinois and briefly had his high school studies in Wilmette, Illinois, Loyola Academy to be precise. During his days at Loyola, he was a member of his school’s basketball team alongside his elder brother Jeffrey. The Jordan brothers were among the basketball players who led Loyola’s team to the conference championships and also helped them to win numerous games.
Marcus completed his junior and senior terms with Whitney Young High School in Chicago. But before then, he led his school’s team to a resounding victory in a 2009 game against Waukegan. He ended his high school career with state tournament MVP honors as well as a mention as the 60th-best shooting guard in the high school senior category in the U.S
Marcus continued in his effort to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the basketball team of the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, Florida in 2009. He scored high points for the team and also led them to victory against the University of West Florida in November 2010. He, however, abandoned the UCF basketball team in August 2012 but continued to attend classes at the university. Upon completing his studies, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in hospital management from UCF.
Like Jeff, Marcus lost interest in basketball before graduation. He began charting his own course in customer service after he left UCF with the aim of making a name for himself and detaching himself from his father’s intimidating portfolio while keeping his legacy alive. In a bid to make this happen, Marcus launched a sneaker store called Trophy Room. The brand officially opened on May 23, 2016, a date that honored his No. 5 jersey and his father’s No. 23 jersey.
Marcus has recorded massive successes with the Trophy Room sneakers line. He hopes to open more stores around the world and also dabble into the cut and sew apparel in the future. It is no news that a lot of people keep track of Michael’s second son, Marcus. His life has always been a subject of great interest to his family’s fans, a fact that probably led to the portrayal of his character in the Hollywood project, Space Jam. The movie was released in 1996 while Marcus was played by actor Eric Gordon, who is also known for starring in the films Hungry (2013) and Cross Addiction (2019).
Marcus James Michael, regardless of his background, has found himself on the wrong side of the law a couple of times. The former basketball player was once charged with wild conduct, countering arrest, and obstructing justice after his arrest in Omaha in 2012. Prior to that incident, an investigation was launched by concerned authorities after he tweeted about blowing $35,000 at a Las Vegas nightclub as an underage.
Jasmine Michael Jordan (daughter with Juanita Vanoy)
Jasmine Jordan is Michael and Juanita’s first and oldest daughter. She was born on December 7th, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois. She briefly studied at a private Jesuit Catholic Academy in Wilmette, Illinois before transferring to a public school for her junior and senior terms. She had her college studies at Syracuse University where she majored in sports management.
Jasmine is famous for her love for sneakers; she has over 300 pairs of sneakers which are scattered across her personal closet, her parents’ homes in Chicago and Florida as well as her brothers’ houses. The young lady has since joined her family business with the Nike brand. Jasmine is a field agent as well as a design and colourways contributor for the Nike brand. She also owns her personal sneaker line called Nike Jordan Heiress collection which was reportedly launched in January 2018.
Jasmine divides her time between Oregon and Charlotte, North Carolina. When she’s not busy with work at the Nike headquarters in Oregon, she’s helping coordinate activities at her father’s basketball team, the Hornets in Charlotte.
Michael’s first daughter is a mother of one: a son she had with her longtime boyfriend, Rakeem Christmas. Jasmine gave Jordan his first grandchild around May 2019 following her engagement to her boyfriend in the year 2018. The Syracuse graduate and her sweetheart met as students in the university and were close throughout their time there. Christmas decided to take his relationship with the young woman to another level after their graduation and since then, they’ve remained inseparable. It is not known if they have officially tied the knot.
The father of Jasmine’s baby boy is a basketball player as well. The talented New Jersey native played for Syracuse University’s men basketball team from 2011-2015 and was later drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves as 36th overall pick in round 2 of the 2015 NBA Draft. The 6 feet 9 inches power forward/center player previously played for the Turkish club Galatasaray (2017), New Zealand Breakers (2018), and Magnolia Hotshots (2019). Rakeem currently represents OGM Ormanspor in the Turkish Basketball League in the No.25 jersey.
Jasmine’s relationship goes a long way to show that she has moved on from her past after she shook up the internet by coming out as gay in 2013. She shared a photo of her then-girlfriend on Instagram and later deleted the controversial post after some time following mixed reactions from the public.
Who is The Former Basketball Player’s First Wife, Juanita Vanoy ?
Her name is Juanita Vanoy, a news writer, businesswoman, and former model. She is a down-to-earth woman who found fame after she started dating Michael Jordan. Before fame, she worked as a model for some brands in her teenage years. Vanoy served as an executive secretary for many years at the American Bar Association. She equally wrote a weekly entertainment column during the 1990s for Copley News Service, an American company.
Michael’s first wife is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She was born in the city on June 13, 1959, and raised by her parents in South Side Chicago. Juanita has four sisters, however, further information about her family background is not available for public consumption.
Juanita and Jordan’s Marriage and Divorce
Juanita Vanoy and her ex-husband met for the first time in 1984. Their meeting was made possible by a mutual friend who introduced them to each other at Chicago Bennigan’s restaurant. The pair began a serious relationship after their second meeting at a party organized by one of their friends.
Three years later, precisely on December 31 at Nick’s Fish Market in Chicago, the retired basketball player went down on one knee before Vanoy and asked her to marry him. The two remained engaged for the next two years and eventually tied the knot on September 2, 1989, in Las Vegas, in a lavish ceremony that was attended by notable individuals, friends, and families including then 10-month-old Jeffrey Michael Jordan.
Juanita and Michael began having a marital crisis a few years into their marriage. This resulted in Vanoy filing for divorce in 2002; however, the divorce process failed to pull through and the two continued their relationship. The former model filed for divorce from her celebrity husband for the second time after some years and the process was finalized on 29th December 2006. Juanita made a whopping $168 million from the dissolution of their marriage which boosted her net worth and also made her one of the richest women then.
The former model has since built a career in the real estate business. She’s been devoting her time to her kids and career since she abandoned her marriage. As regards her marital staus, Juanita Vanoy is still single and yet to tie the knot for the second time.
Meet Michael Jordan’s Children From His Second Marriage To Yvette Prieto
The former pro basketball player’s second marriage, this time to Yvette Prieto, has produced two lovely identical girls. Michael has maintained a relatively low-key profile since his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy ended. Jordan’s love for his two growing girls is quite mind-blowing. As expected, the proud father showers so much love on them and also ensures their needs are well taken care of. Michael is known for keeping his girls away from the curious media and public and attending public events mostly with his adult kids.
Victoria and Ysabel – Michael Jordan’s Twin daughters with Yvette Prieto)
Victoria and Ysabel are the beautiful twin daughters of Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto. They were born on the 9th of February 2014, in West Palm Beach, Florida. The young girls are of African-American ancestry on their father’s side and Cuban origin on their mother’s side.
Victoria and Ysabel are still very young to make choices for themselves as regards to their career choices. Presently, they are being taken care of by their mother in their home. Jordan and his second wife hardly move around with their girls which is the reason they are not known to many people.
All The Facts About Michael Jordan’s Second Wife
The name of Michael’s second wife is Yvette Prieto. She was originally born in Cuba in 1979 and later moved to the United States with her family many years later. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from an American-based university but currently works as a model. She launched her modeling career way before her path crossed with her celebrity husband.

Yvette and the basketball legend got connected in 2008 at a nightclub in Miami. They were officially joined together as husband and wife on the 27th day of April 2013 at Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-sea following their engagement in 2011. Prieto, who is 15 years younger than Jordan, dated the renowned Spanish-Filipino musician Julio Iglesias Jr. in the past.
Unlike his first marriage, MJ and Yvette’s union has a prenuptial agreement backing which was necessary in order to stall the recurrence of a big divorce payout.

What You Need To Know About Michael Jordan's Kids
The '90s were dominated by three things: flannel, heavy lipliner, and Michael Jordan. His skills and commitment on the basketball court gave America a hero to cheer for and bond over. The five-time MVP and Olympic gold medalist made big moves off the court as well (via Biography ). He starred in many high-profile commercials and Hollywood blockbusters, such as Space Jam (via IMDb ). Jordan also achieved fashion-icon status by designing and marketing his eponymous, bestselling sneakers. It's no wonder we are mega-curious about his offspring.
The five winners of the genetic jackpot are named Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine with his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy ; and twins Victoria and Ysabel with his second wife, Yvette Prieto . Funny enough, it's the exact number needed on the court to make up a basketball team. Sadly, a traveling team made up of Jordan's heirs is just a dream, but the eldest kids already are pretty cool professionals.
Michael Jordan's sons are businessmen
The oldest of the five, Jeffery M. Jordan, 31, has made a name for himself in the business world. Jeffery tells Forbes , "Currently, I lead brand digital innovation for Jordan — I conceptualize and test new technologies, trends, platforms (such as Esports, Podcasts/Audio content, etc.) to enhance the marketing power and the cohesiveness of our marketing campaigns." It sounds like the oldest of the brood has found a way outside of basketball to carry on the legacy of success.
The second oldest, Marcus Jordan, 29, has taken the fashion route. Marcus is the owner of an online boutique called the Trophy Room. In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times , Marcus describes the uniqueness of his store claiming, "Trophy Room is inspired by the trophy room that was in our house growing up. It was centrally located and was a spot where everyone wanted to hang out. Anytime we won an award, my dad would put our trophies in there among his. So it really just inspired us as kids to go out and do our own thing and earn our own accolades." Way to flex your childhood memories into a business Marcus.
Michael Jordan's eldest daughter is a career woman and mom
Michael Jordan's daughter, Jasmine Jordan, 27, continues the trend and works on the marketing side of the Jordan brand in the sports fashion industry. Jasmine tells Undefeated , "I'm most proud of the growth in our women's division. We didn't have women's footwear or apparel for a few years." Constant growth seems to be a trend among this clan. Jasmine is also the first of Jordan's children to give him a new title, as Grandpa. She gave birth to her son, Rakeem, in 2019.
Identical twins Ysabel and Victoria were born in 2014, and the six-year-olds are currently living an understandably private childhood. Though they have yet to show their career ambitions, it is an excellent guess they will follow their siblings' footsteps and make a name for themselves and enhance the Jordan brand.

Jeffrey Michael Jordan, Age: 31
Born in 1988, Jeffrey Michael Jordan is Michael Jordan's eldest child, and the first child that Jordan had with his first wife, Juanita Vanoy . Though he played college basketball for the University of Central Florida Knights and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini, he remained undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft. In 2013 , he entered Nike's management training program in Portland, Oregon. In 2019 , he married his longtime girlfriend, Radina Aneva.
Recently, Jeffrey Michael Jordan revealed that he will be working with a new technology called WaitTime, a sports technology app that's partnered with his company, The Jordan Avakian Group. "From the very beginning when I got to see a product demo, I was immediately able to envision this technology being in every arena not only in the NBA, but in leagues throughout the United States and globally,” he said . “After I was able to meet with Zack (Klima, the CEO of WaitTime) and have a number of conversations about his company we were able to align and see great opportunities for growth. We continue to look for opportunities and are excited about the trajectory for the company.”

Marcus Jordan, Age: 29
The second child of Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy, Marcus Jordan — like his father and older brother — was a basketball player. And, like his older brother, his basketball career didn't go past the college level (where he played as a shooting guard for the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL). In 2012 , he was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing justice. In 2016 , he opened a shoe store called The Trophy Room (which paid homage to his father's legacy), which remained open until May of 2019. Though Marcus Jordan said he would eventually reopen The Trophy Room, no re-opening has been announced as of yet.
Back in late 2019, Marcus Jordan announced that there would be a new Air Jordan product on the way in 2020, as well. "There is something in the works. I can't talk about it. But, every time I get a chance to collaborate with Jordan Brands, it's an honor," he said .

Jasmine Jordan, Age: 27
Jasmine Jordan is Michael Jordan's oldest daughter, and his last child with Juanita Vanoy. Little is known about Michael Jordan's eldest daughter, except that she graduated from Syracuse University, works as a field representative for the Nike shoe brand, and has a great relationship with her father.
"When my dad played in the NBA, he trusted his gut. That translated to business as well, and he definitely instilled that in me. Because if it doesn’t feel right, then it’s not right. So, when it came to business, he’s always made sure to remind me to always trust my instincts, trust my gut and trust my feelings because those are the most natural reactions you can have," she said .

Victoria Jordan, Age: 6
Victoria Jordan is the other one of Michael Jordan's two children with his second wife, Cuban model Yvette Prieto. Her identical twin sister is Ysabel Jordan. Like her twin sister, Victoria Jordan stays out of the limelight thanks to both of her parents.
And Michael Jordan even has a grandchild!
Thanks to Jasmine Jordan, Michael Jordan is now a grandfather. The 27-year-old announced that she recently had a son with Syracuse University basketball star Rakeem Christmas, and though she didn't give the baby's full name, she said that the baby's initials were RMC.
