Long Essay on The Funny Incident 500 Words for Kids and Students in English

One Sunday morning, I received an invitation from Sam, an old friend of mine. After a prolonged stay in UK, I had just returned to my native place and both of us were eager to meet. We decided to catch up over lunch. My sister was nice enough to wake me up with a cup of steaming tea and quickly I started getting ready. I over ruled her loving insistence of a heavy breakfast and even refused the snacks she tried to push into my hands.

I hurried to the bus stop and hopped on to the first bus that came by. Eagerly, I asked the conductor for a ticket to Babar Lane. He looked at me as if I had landed from Mars. With a deep frown and tense tone he said, “This bus is going in the opposite direction. Get down at the next stoppage and take the bus from the across the road.” Feeling a right fool, I did exactly what the conductor had said.

Finally when I reached 15, Babar Lane, I found the door locked. I looked again to make sure that I had come to the right place. After some time, a neighbour of my friend came and asked me, “Why are you standing here? Do you want to meet someone?” I replied, “Yes, I want to see Mr Sam living in flat no. 15.” He immediately replied , “But he changed his house last Wednesday and has gone to R.K. Puram.”

Frustrated, I came back to the bus stop. I was feeling hungry. After some time, it started drizzling. I was now in a fix as to what to do. My confusion was compounded by the torrential rains. I had refused to have breakfast in the hope that I would have it at my friend’s house. At this stage, my anger was mounting. I was cursing myself as well as my fate. But I controlled my anger. I made up my mind to meet Sam.

An idea hit me. I called up the enquiry office, R.K. Puram. The person on duty gave me Sam’s address. I made my journey to R.K. Puram and reached the number as given by the enquiry office. I rang the door bell. Thomas, a tiny tot (Sam’s youngest brother), came out and greeted me with a “Hello uncle!” The moment I entered the drawing room, I saw Sam’s parents sitting on the sofa. They offered me a seat and I sat comfortably. As I was about to talk about the invitation extended to me by Sam, Dolly (Sam’s sister) came with tea. Now Sam’s mother began to talk very politely, “Look son, the invitation for tea was a joke. As you know, today is First of April — All Fool’s Day. I felt a right fool but soon came over my guilt as me and Sam got carried away in our past memories.

We had tea to our heart’s content. I rushed from their house as it was already dark. It was, indeed, the funniest day of my life.

Essay on “A Funny Incident in The Class” for Kids and Students, English Essay, Paragraph, Speech for Class 8, 9, 10, 12, College and Competitive Exams.

A Funny Incident in The Class

Various funny things keep taking place in our class. Our class is called the naughtiest class at school. Nevertheless, in presence of a teacher, we try our best to maintain discipline. One day, our English teacher was teaching a lesson on the advantages of science. It was very hot. Moreover, the lesson was very boring and tedious. Our teacher was trying her best to make it interesting by referring to some of the other things else than the lesson. Suddenly she stopped speaking. We could not make out the reason for her silence. All the eyes traveled back as she reached the backbench on her right side. There the reason for this sudden silence was! One of our classmates, Rohit was sleeping unperturbed. He was not only sleeping, he was snoring too. Our teacher called his name but in vain. Then a neighbor of Rohit shook him up from his sound sleep. Rohit opened his eyes to the reality of the situation. He at once stood up awkwardly murmuring apologies. He looked perplexed. The teacher for a moment did not say anything. Then she smiled bowed a little and said, Good morning Rohit”, and the whole class gave way to the suppressed peals of laughter.

Essay on a Funny Incident that Happened in the Class

December 11, 2019 by Leya Leave a Comment

There have been multiple funny incidents that took place in my classroom. But the one that specifically stands out happened last week during lunchtime.

One of my friends is a foodie. While most of us are reluctant in finishing off our food during lunch break, she is someone who looks forward to savouring the goodies packed by her mom on a daily basis. Her lunch is an elaborate affair as well. While we would be struggling to gulp down the chapattis with jam or Maggie noodles from our lunchboxes, the very sight of her opening her lunchbox is a ceremony in itself.

She usually brings a lunchbox with multiple compartments to hold various dishes that her mother lovingly prepares for her in the morning. Her lunch, more often than not, resembles the comfort food that you would order from a restaurant on your cheat day of dieting!

Last week, while I opened my lunchbox to finish off my run-of-the-mill pasta, I saw my friend victoriously unveiling her new lunchbox that looked like a multi-storey building. She then unpacked her lunch that consisted of butter chicken and pulao. After she finished eating that, she gave us a scholarly look while dismantling the different parts of her lunch box and spreading it on the table. She had actually got all the ingredients you would need to create a finger-licking pani puri! And this was how she decided to wrap up her lunch.

While she conscientiously mixed the boiled potatoes, chopped onions, cooked chickpeas, chopped coriander, chutneys, and flavoured pani into the puri, she could have not looked happier! She victoriously finished off the 8 puris in her lunchbox without offering us a morsel to taste. Although this seemed like quite a selfish act on her part, we the spectators enjoyed the show thoroughly, and could not stop laughing as we reminisced about this incident a few days later.

What’s your funniest classroom story?

essay on funny incident in school

By Angela Watson

Founder and Writer

Whether your school is already out for the summer and you’re in relaxation mode or you’re heading into the final few days, I have a feeling you’re ready for some comic relief.

I love to read the funny things that kids say and do. Here are some of my favorites from this page of  hilarious kid stories I’ve compiled over the years  along with some pictures of funny things teachers have encountered when grading student work:

funny-classroom-stories-850x850

At the school where I taught previously, students would line up on the blacktop before the morning bell. I would pick them up and we would walk together to the classroom. There was, of course, a no-talking rule in the hallway and I would often tell them, “If it doesn’t involve fire, blood, or throwing up, save it until we get to the classroom.” Well, one morning “M” kept saying, “Mrs. T, Mrs. T, I have to tell you something. I asked, “Does it involve, blood, fire, or throwing up?” “No”, he replied. But he kept saying, “Mrs. T, Mrs. T”. Finally, exasperated, I turn to him and ask gruffly, “WHAT?” He says, “I saw a pirate movie.” There’s a moment of silence as I stand and stare at him. And, with perfect comedic timing, he says, “It was rated RRRRR!”

This is my favorite kindergarten moment ever. A child was upset because her cat had died. I told her how sorry I was, and went on to tell her that I used to have a cat, and was sad when I had to find a home for her because my husband was allergic to cats. She looked at me in shock and questioned, “You’re married?’ When I replied that I was indeed married, she continued…”I know what you did on your wedding day.” I was afraid to ask, but went ahead. She replied, “You ate cake!”

One day it was getting close to recess and I had a few kids off task. I reminded them that before we could go outside there were certain things that needed to be done and, just for emphasis, I held up my plan book and pointed to the day’s agenda. One little boy’s eyes widened in surprise and he blurted out, “Omigod! You mean you write this stuff down?!”

One moment happened several years ago when I taught grade one. Each primary class had received one of those colorful carpets with the seven continents on it. Well, day 2 of having this carpet, Andre got very sick, and threw up. When his dad came to take him home, Andre proudly says, “Daddy, I threw up all over North America AND South America!”

I teach kindergarten and when I was urging a student to get down to work, he looked up and me and said, “You do know that I didn’t sign up for this. My dad did it.”

Just posted this status on my Facebook from today (our last day of school)…So many favorite moments from today including having a dance party while cleaning the classroom with my students. But the best moment of all included the clear innocence of 7 year old children…We were standing outside waiting for lunch when my kiddos pointed out 2 birds that came out from their next in the pipes above. One bird kept jumping on top of the other bird and “ahem-ing.” I could only internally freak out hoping my kiddos wouldn’t understand when one student says, “awe…they’re playing hop skotch.” Awesome. Hop skotch it is from now on.

I found a live mouse in my desk drawer one afternoon after school. I made the mistake of telling my students about it and what my reaction was. Well, it was on then. I came into the classroom a few days later and a student had left a rose on my desk for Valentine’s Day. I “ooed” and “ahhed” over it and turned it over to see if there was a card showing who it was from. Well, there wasn’t, but there was a paper mouse inside the bouquet!! I laughed and laughed and when I found out who did it, I was astonished. The quietist, most introverted girl in my class had done it! When I looked at her, she was sitting there with a big grin on her face. Well, for a few weeks after that, I would find “mice” everywhere – in a stack of papers; on my desk chair; even tiny ones on my phone. I stapled all of them to my cork strip above my white board until we had amassed over 40. On the last day of school we took them down and divided them among the class. This year was certainly the “Year of the Mouse”!

I have a pretty strict rule during writing time we are not talking because we are thinking. Well during this time one of my girl students had to use the restroom. The class was unusually quiet that you could hear a pin drop. At that time the girl in the restroom started singing, she was in there for a pretty long time. I could hear some of the students quietly asking their neighbor who is that. Out of the corner of my eye I saw them looking at me and my reaction. I knew the kids wanted to laugh and I couldn’t help but have a huge smile on my face. The whole class burst into laughter. Only seconds later did the girl open the bathroom door with a look of wonder and confusion as to why we were laughing. I asked her if she was trying out for American Idol. She was very clueless that we could hear every note she sang.

This happened to my students soooo many times! You’d think they’d learn after hearing their classmates sing, but nope! LOL!

A few years ago, I was assisting a female student with determining what she wanted to do with her future. She informed me that she wanted to go into politics. I told her she needed to research Hillary Clinton, because, at the time, she had been Secretary of State for two years, not to mention her other political accomplishments. The young lady replied “Who’s that?” I said “Well, she is our Secretary of State.” The young lady grew frustrated and quipped back “I said I wanted to go into politics; I don’t want to work in an office as someone’s secretary.”

This happened a few years ago. I was teaching K and 1/3 of the the class was Chinese while at least another 1/3 was Korean. They spent a lot of time talking about this together. We were doing a “write and color the letter” page, and one of my little guys came up and said, “What do we do when we’re finished writing the letter?” I told him (again) to color it in crayon. He went back to his seat for a minute then came back. He looked very sad. I asked what was wrong. He answered, “I’m Chinese. I can’t color it in Korean.” I managed to say “CRAYON, not Korean” before leaving the room for a second so I could laugh.

Sample Answer 1

One unforgettable funny incident that happened to me occurred during my first year of college. It was the time of our annual fest, and the atmosphere was charged with excitement. My friends and I had volunteered for the event's organization, and we were bustling around, making sure everything was in place for the evening's performances. In the midst of this chaos, I was assigned the task of arranging the props on stage for the drama competition.

Eager to impress, I decided to speed things up by carrying more props than I could handle. As I strutted across the stage, laden with an assortment of items, I didn't notice a banana peel (a prop for one of the plays) lying in my path. In what seemed like a scene straight out of a slapstick comedy, I stepped on the peel and performed an unintentional acrobatic display, ending with a spectacular fall, props flying everywhere.

The audience, which had started to gather for the next performance, erupted into laughter. For a moment, I lay there, stunned, before joining in the laughter myself. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated humor, reminding everyone that sometimes, it's the unplanned moments that bring the most joy.

Follow-up Questions and Answers:

Q1: How did you feel immediately after the fall?

A1: Initially, I was mortified, fearing I had ruined the props and embarrassed myself in front of a crowd. However, the laughter from the audience and my friends helped me quickly see the humorous side, and I ended up laughing at myself too.

Q2: What was the reaction of your friends?

A2: My friends were initially concerned but soon burst into laughter upon realizing I was unhurt. Their teasing about my 'stage debut' became a running joke throughout college.

Q3: Did this incident change your approach to tasks?

A3: Absolutely, it taught me the importance of not overburdening myself and the value of taking things one step at a time. It was a humorous lesson in balancing enthusiasm with practicality.

Q4: Do you often recall this incident?

A4: Yes, it's become a cherished memory among my college friends and me. It serves as a reminder not to take life too seriously and to find humor in mishaps.

Q5: Would you say this incident helped you grow?

A5: Definitely. It was a humbling experience that taught me the importance of resilience and finding joy in life's unexpected moments.

Sample Answer 2

Another humorous incident that comes to mind happened during a family holiday in the mountains. My family decided to take a hike to a nearby waterfall, renowned for its breathtaking beauty. Armed with snacks, water, and my trusty camera, I was determined to capture every moment of this adventure.

As we reached the waterfall, I spotted the perfect rock to take a photo from. It was slightly away from the path and offered an unobstructed view of the waterfall. In my excitement to get the perfect shot, I failed to notice that the rock was slick with moss. As I triumphantly stepped onto it, my feet slipped out from under me, and I found myself plunging into the shallow water below.

The shock of the cold water took a moment to register before I surfaced, spluttering but unharmed. My family, after ensuring I was okay, couldn't contain their laughter. There I was, soaked to the bone in the middle of our hike, with nothing dry to change into. The rest of the day saw me squelching along in my wet clothes, a constant reminder of my misadventure.

Q1: What was your initial reaction to falling into the water?

A1: I was shocked and a bit embarrassed, especially since I prided myself on being careful. The cold water was a surprise, but I quickly found the humor in my situation.

Q2: How did your family react to this incident?

A2: After ensuring I was safe, my family erupted into laughter. They teased me for my 'dramatic' way of cooling off and ensured the incident was well-documented with photos.

Q3: Did this incident impact your enthusiasm for photography?

A3: Not at all. If anything, it reinforced my passion for capturing life's moments, albeit with a bit more caution towards where I stand.

Q4: Is this a memory you cherish from your trip?

A4: Absolutely. It's a funny story that we often reminisce about when talking about our travels. It reminds us of the fun and unpredictable nature of family trips.

Q5: What lesson did you learn from this experience?

A5: The biggest lesson was to always be aware of my surroundings and maybe to not go to great lengths (or depths) for the perfect photo. It also taught me the value of laughter and not taking myself too seriously.

IELTS Cue Card Sample 84 – Describe a funny incident that happened to you

IELTS Speaking Part 2: IELTS Cue Card/ Candidate Task Card.

Describe a funny incident that happened to you.

You should say:

  •  what it was
  •  how  it was funny
  •  who was there with you

and explain what you remember most about it.

Model Answer 1:

I like to laugh and be happy whenever there is a reason for it. Cracking jokes makes us happy and so do many funny incidents which we experience in our daily life. However, today, I would like to talk about a funny incident that happened to me a while ago. The incident took place at a birthday party about a few years ago. It fact, it was a birthday party of one of my little nephews.

Everybody, including all of my family members, relatives and the little friends of my nephews, was invited to the party on a lovely evening in order to enjoy the party. By the way, the party was supposed to be concluded as early as possible because all the little guests, friends of my nephew, needed to return to their homes safely before it was getting too late at night. So, the party formally started at around 8 pm with opening up the gift boxes ceremoniously. Once, we were done with opening the gift boxes, the time came for singing the “happy birthday to you” song, and we all sang the song in order to wish a very happy birthday to my nephew.  Finally, the moment, we all had been waiting for, finally had arrived, and we were ready to cut the birthday cake except, of course, the cake had already been cut!

Without having a clue about what had really transpired, we all started to look at each other’s face until we suddenly noticed two little boys who were busy eating cake in a corner of the room. Once approached by me, the boys spared no time in divulging their secret about eating their “fair shares” of cakes with a very happy face instead of waiting for others! Needless, to say, we all burst into laughter.

Anyway, what I really remember the most about the funny incident is that the boys, who decided to eat their “fair” shares of cakes, looked so confident and happy as if they really had achieved some extraordinary “feat” by managing to cut the birthday cake way ahead of others.

Sample Answer 2:

The funny incident that I remember occurred was almost 2-3 years ago that I would like to describe. That time I was a student at a university and I was in my 7th semester. We had a group assignment and to collect data we went to some libraries after our class. In the evening, I found that my group members are complaining that they are hungry and they need to have some foods.

I found them entering a restaurant and I went with them. One of my classmates ordered some foods directly to the waiter without looking at the menu and after we are done with our foods, I noticed that one of the group mates is asking the group leader to pay the bill. The group leader was astonished as he had not offered the meal and said that he did not have the money to pay the bill. I asked the waiter to bring the bill and we were thundered to look at the amount. It was much higher than the usual price. Though we were a bit worried, we started laughing and enjoying the whole thing. One of the classmates offered to collect all of our money and then pay the bill. We looked at our wallets, pockets & bags and collected the whole amount. There were so many changes and coins there that we had to calculate 2-3 times. But to our surprise, the total amount is still not sufficient to pay the bill.

We started laughing and I proposed to two of the groupmates to give their cell phones and wrist watched as the alternatives of the bill. These two group mates got serious and were protesting that these would be an insane idea. Rest of us started enjoying their reaction as we found that they have actually taken this seriously.  One of your group mates proposed that we should pay the amount we have with us and ask the manager of the hotel to allow us time to pay the rest of the amount. I told them that the manager would not allow that and would call the police! We enjoyed the event, the dubious looks on some of your classmates and the fact that 2-3 of them have taken the whole thing very seriously and are actually got anxious.

We stayed there for about 1 hour and noticed that people around us were giving surprising looks as we something very funny and interesting is going on among us. One of my group mates’ house was nearby and he proposed that he would go home and bring the money and in the meantime, we would stay there until he arrives. We agreed and waited for him another20 minutes or so. In the meantime, one of the boys told that the classmates who left won’t come back! We laughed at the idea and acted as if it’s going to happen for real.  After our classmates returned from home, he paid the bill (with some tips as well!) and then we left the restaurant.

We then left for our home and I took a taxi and paid the taxi fare from my home. I told the story to other classmates the next day and they found it very funny and interesting as well. This event became famous in our class and we often mentioned the funny things happened that day among us.

Last week, we asked our readers: What is the funniest thing that happened in your childhood?

This week’s question: What is your life motto, and why?

To take part, drop us a line via this form or email us at [email protected] by 11.59pm on December 1. Tell us your name, age and school.

When I was five years old, I, for some odd reason, always mixed up 1 with 7. One day, our teacher asked us to complete “1” book report during the summer holidays. You are right! I did 7 instead! I was really tired after working day and night. I kept blaming the teacher, but it was all my fault.

However, there was a happy ending. The teacher appreciated my hard work and decided to make me the class monitor! Tsang Chung-ming, 14, St Mark’s Secondary School

Our most useless talents

A funny and most embarrassing thing happened when I was around three years old. My father asked me to join a long queue so that I could win HK$100. Out of curiosity, I agreed. But things became a little weird. People kept staring at me like I’m a freak.

When I finally reached the end of the line, I realised that I was inside a female toilet! It was the first time I felt so embarrassed in my life. My father still thinks it’s funny, me not so much. Owen Chan Ho-yeung, 13, Sha Tin Methodist College

It all happened when I was four. One day, I was watching TV while my mum dozed off on the sofa. Suddenly an advertisement caught my eye. It said: “LSL toothpaste, eat it if you want to.” I was fascinated. An edible toothpaste! I thought I must try it.

The next day, my mum took me to the supermarket, and I talked her into buying that toothpaste. Once I got home. I grabbed it and ran straight to the toilet. I ate half the tube. Mum found out and asked, “Do you know what you did, my boy? Does it taste good?” I was speechless. We laugh a lot every time we talk about it. Daris Chan Ka-wing, 12, CCC Heep Woh College

Thinking of a million ways to meet Santa Claus. Every Christmas, I received gifts from Santa and I was really curious about how he came into my house.

I thought of putting sand on the floor to trace his footprints, and tried staying up late and peeking through the door gap to catch Father Christmas. My curiosity about Santa brought out the creative (and stupid) side of me. Audrey Yeung, 14, Christian Alliance International School

Probably trying to hatch eggs. When I was a kid, I wanted to hatch eggs like chickens do. So I slept with an egg in my hands for several days. I didn’t dare move, thinking that the egg will break.

I was very excited and looking forward to seeing it hatch one day. But nothing happened despite my wholehearted effort. I was heartbroken at the time, but when I think about it now, I consider it the funniest thing I ever did. Zeng Man-long, 15, NTHYK Tai Po District Secondary School

What’s something you’re terrible at, but wish you did well?

Back in the days when I was learning to paint, I was obsessed with colours. Every time I used red and yellow paint, I thought I smelled strawberries and lemon gummy bears out of nowhere.

It’s hard to describe how appetising it was. So one day I “ate” the paint. It was the first and last time I did that. I am sure all paint must taste the same! Heidi Wan Yu-yin, 14, CNEC Christian College

When I was in kindergarten, I drew on my face with a marker pen. I remember I cried a lot because my parents couldn’t remove the colours from my face for almost a week. My classmates laughed at me. It was a funny – and scary – experience. Daniel Lam King-fui, 14, Carmel Bunnan Tong Memorial Secondary School

The things teens do better than adults

Our primary school maths teacher asked one of my classmates to tackle a question. She said it was very easy. My classmate gave the correct answer but she said it was wrong.

We persuaded the teacher to make the calculation on her mobile phone and then she found out that she had made a mistake. My classmates and I laughed. It was very funny. Coco Chan Tsz-yan, 14, CNEC Christian College

When I was small, I thought teachers didn’t have mothers.

During an English lesson in Primary One, my teacher was talking about her family and I was shocked that she had a mother. I asked her: “You have a mum?!” Ironically, the class didn’t laugh. They, too, seemed surprised that the teacher had a mum. The teacher laughed and said: “Of course, I have a mum! You think I was born on a rock?”

Thinking back, I really miss the days when I was a pure and innocent child, asking dumb questions, and bringing joy and laughter to my older self. I hope my teacher still remembers this hilarious incident. Yolanda Xiao Yu-ching, 13, St Paul’s Co-Educational College

I mistook someone else for my mum at Disneyland. There was a lady who wore the same shirt and pants as my mum so I ended up following her. It took me a while to realise that it wasn’t my mum. One sunny afternoon, my family decided to go for a picnic in the park. I was really excited and packed a big bag full of my favorite toys. As we reached the park, I saw a big, fluffy squirrel running around. I thought it would be fun to play with it, so I ran after the squirrel. As I was running, I didn’t notice a banana peel lying on the ground. I slipped on it and tumbled down a small hill, my toys flying everywhere. My family rushed to me, worried, but when they saw I was alright, they started laughing. I was covered in leaves and had a toy dinosaur stuck in my hair! Even the squirrel seemed to chuckle from a tree nearby. At first, I was a bit embarrassed, but then I started laughing too. It was the funniest picnic we ever had. Now, every time we go to the park, we always remember to watch out for banana peels and cheeky squirrels! This funny incident taught me to be more careful and made our family picnic a day to remember.

Paragraph on A Funny Incident In Your Life in 250 Words

One sunny afternoon, my best friend and I decided to bake a cake. We were both eager but had no idea about the actual process. We found a recipe on the internet and started gathering the ingredients. Flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract – everything was ready. We mixed all the ingredients and poured the batter into the cake pan. With our hearts full of excitement, we put the pan in the oven and set the timer for 30 minutes. As we waited, we imagined the delicious, fluffy cake we would soon enjoy. But our daydreaming was interrupted by a strange smell. Rushing to the oven, we saw smoke billowing out! In our excitement, we had forgotten to preheat the oven. The cake was burnt to a crisp! We quickly turned off the oven and opened all the windows to let the smoke out. Our faces were covered in soot and our kitchen was a mess. The sight of our blackened cake and our sooty faces was so funny that we couldn’t help but laugh. Despite the disaster, we had so much fun that day. We learned a valuable lesson about the importance of following instructions and preheating the oven. This funny incident is one of my favorite memories because it reminds me of the joy of learning through mistakes.

A essay of a funny incident?

User Avatar

I still remember it was 19th of May. It was the day after my 13th birthday. That night, I went for a session of Science tuition class which was started at 7.00p.m. and ended at 9.30p.m.

When I heard alarm ringing from my Ultraman digital watch, I briskly kept all my books in my ''easy-bag''. Once finished packing, I rushed out from the tuition room, and then house, and finally, I was outside the house. I pushed back my ''easy-bag'' handle and sit on my bag waiting for my car. I was so angry because my car had not arrived yet. I was rushing home to continue to play computer game as Friday was the only day I can play computer.

After I waited for 5 minutes, eventually I saw 'my' car turning into the road where I was and stopped in front of me. I opened the back door immediately and went in the car. Then, I closed the car and then, the car started to move. On the way, I was taking a nap so that I can play longer later in the night. But I can feel the car turning here and there. I had the feeling of the car was not going back to my home which was actually located near to the tuition place. However, I was too lazy to open my eyes and I actually thought that the driver was bringing me to have supper at the downtown. I had the thought because having supper is one of my customs in my family.

Ten minutes later, the car engine was off and I opened my eyes slowly. To my surprise, I was in an unknown place, a house which I never came before. I quickly raised my head to the front and wanted to have a look at the driver. I was so surprised that it was neither my parents nor siblings. The driver had a great shock too when he saw me. And only now, both of us realized that we were wrong. The father thought I were his son while I thought the driver was one of my family members.

Once, during a family vacation, my dad unwittingly put on my sister's bikini top instead of his swimming trunks. He proudly strutted around the pool area for a good 10 minutes before my sister burst out laughing and pointed out his mistake. The image of him parading around in that tiny floral top is forever etched in our family's memory as the funniest vacation moment.
