Though she is a flight attendant by profession, the reality TV star has also embraced her inner entrepreneur through her brand, Nicole Collection LLC. The company provides a variety of clothing options to women who can purchase what they want through an online website. As for her personal life, Tamara enjoys spending time in the company of her loved ones, especially her best friends with whom she took part in the MTV show. She was certainly ecstatic to celebrate her birthday on September 8, 2023, and was looking forward to all that life would bring next in her life. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Tamara also enjoys traveling and often posts pictures of her outings on social media.

MTV is launching a new dating series titled “ The Love Experiment ” that aims to bring the choices and excitement of dating apps to life.

The series, which premieres on Aug. 15 at 10 p.m., follows three single best friends who enter a hall of eligible men who are all ready for committed relationships. Inside the “dating utopia,” the women are in control, but they quickly realize that having too many ideal choices is harder than it seems.

The Love Experiment

The Love Experiment tests three best friends as they enter The Hall: a dating app brought to life, full of eligible men looking for love.

The women invite the men over for a mixer and romance and tensions build. The women continue to seek out new connections and go on a marathon day of dates.

A surprise sleepover date occurs as well as a tough round of eliminations, then the women visit The Hall for the third time.

The newest men go on dates with the women. All the guys compete in an epic talent show to win a spot on a romantic, overnight getaway. After the women each select one man for the overnight trip, Marz has a secret about one of the men datingTamara.

On the romantic getaway, a rumor sparks a tense discussion. A surprising view of marriage raises questions, and the women make hard choices at elimination.

The women return once more to The Hall, which has evolved to surprise the women with more hot, eligible men. The Hall gives the women some second chances, including the option to bring back men they regret eliminating.

At Distractify , we love to see women supporting women. After all, chicks before dicks. Hoes before bros. Ovaries before bro-varies ... see what we did there? Which is why we are absolutely obsessed with the three women leads in the new MTV dating reality show, The Love Experiment .

The Love Experiment stars three Atlanta based real life best friends, Marcia aka Mars, Paige, and Tamara as they navigate a real life dating app to try and find love ... or something like it.

Who are they? Let's meet them!

Who are the women in ‘The Love Experiment’?

The Love Experiment follows IRL besties Marz, Paige, and Tamara as they pick potential suitors from The Hall, aka a real life dating app with real life men standing in their own kind of "window display" profile, with photos and descriptive items and all.

Tamara told PopCulture that someone had reached out to her and told her the "concept of the show." She was immediately excited and figured that "all of us are single, why not?" Both Marz and Paige were immediately in.

So without further ado, let's meet the women of The Love Experiment .

Tamara is a flight attendant and an entrepreneur with her own clothing boutique, Nicole Collection . Her bio on The Love Experiment page tells us that she is looking for a man who can be a true partner. Her Mr. Right needs to have as much going on as she does.

She’s ready to meet the love her life, but past relationships have broken her ability to trust. She has had an uphill battle letting down her walls when it comes to dating. Tamara wants a man who’s as serious as she is about finding lasting love.

Tamara also already has quite the social media following with 278,000 followers on Instagram as of the date this article was posted. Her Instagram bio tells us that she even attended a HBCU.

Marz is also a flight attendant and Tamara's work wife. Her bio says, "In previous relationships, Marz has dated bad boys who provided lots of excitement, but also instability and pain. Now she’s looking for a man who can be an equal partner. Marz wants a man who also values family, while keeping up with her intelligence and passion for adventure."

Paige Shari attended Florida International University and is an event host and an entrepreneur. She owns her own management and consulting company. Paige is also starting her own Açai bowl company, Soulfull Bowls . Tamara told PopCulture that she met Paige and introduced her to Marz, and the three quickly became inseparable.

According to Paige's bio, she's often the center of attention, and any man she dates needs to be secure enough to handle that. Paige has dated eligible men in the past, but she hasn’t found the one yet. A hopeless romantic who struggles with indecision, she wants to find a man who can join her to create the kind of power couple she grew up witnessing with her own parents. Paige won’t settle for anything less.

What we love most about the trio is how supportive they are of each other. They told the New York Post that there was no competition for any of the potential suitors, and that, "it was all love and guidance among friends."

Why three friends did a ‘love experiment’ to ‘date them all’.

Three best friends go on a dating adventure together in the new MTV reality series “The Love Experiment.” 

Premiering Aug 15 (10 p.m.), the show follows Atlanta, Ga.- based single women Marcia, aka “Mars,” 30, a flight attendant; Paige, 27, who has her own management consulting business; and Tamara, 30, a flight attendant / entrepreneur, as they date from a pool of 24 men to narrow down their choices. 

“When you look at shows like ‘Love is Blind’ or ‘Love Island,’ you are trying to feel [the other] people out,” Tamara told The Post. 

“With us, we had an advantage because we came in with a strong bond and a friendship,” she said. “We were like, ‘I’ll lean on you, and if you see the red flags [in men], tell me!’ It was good to have support there, as we dated and found out more about ourselves. That’s how our show separates from any other show.”

“We’re big career women,” Paige told The Post.  “We’re sisters and friends, we support each other. Yes, we have our friends that we can text or call after a date [outside of the show]. But having them on that journey with you while they’re going on their journey — you don’t really get that, ever.”

The friends said they didn’t have any concerns about being interested in the same man . 

 “It wasn’t going to happen like that,” Marcia, aka “Mars,” told The Post. 

“That’s the beauty of it. We have such different interests in guys, our tastes aren’t the same. It was never going to be like ‘We both want him.’ It was more like ‘Girl, go get your man!’ It was never a competition amongst us, it was all love and guidance among friends.”

In the show, the three ladies enter a “hall” where 24 single men stand in separate alcoves, surrounded by photos and objects that signify their interests (to mimic the look of a dating app profile). 

Each man wears headphones, so the ladies can gossip about each man to his face as they essentially “window shop” for dates. 

“That was the best part. I loved that,” said Mars. 

“It was kind of like an icebreaker among us. We were able to have that little bit of secrecy with the guys –having our little nicknames and jokes and things just between us. Because [while the men wore headphones], they can see it, but can’t hear it.” 

Paige said she also enjoyed being able to discuss the men with her friends while they were standing in front of the ladies, unable to hear them talking. 

“We obviously don’t want to catcall . But when women are the ones doing it, like ‘You know what, he does have a nice six-pack,’ that’s fun, because that’s the stuff as women that we do amongst each other,” she said. 

“To do it to their faces is like, ‘Great! I’m glad you’re here to see my reaction to you. As soon as I saw the rooms, I was like ‘Okay, little artifacts, I see a cross, I see a law book.’ We love to be our own little FBI agents, if you will. What was great about getting out of the hall after seeing the looks of the guys was that we did get to peel back the layers and get to know them on close and personal levels.”

The three friends said that the selection of men got overwhelming at times, but Tamara said that she appreciated the variety.  

“We owe it to ourselves to date around, because we don’t have to settle. That’s the biggest takeaway from the show — date them all!”

Season 3 of Love Is Blind resulted in three success stories — kind of! After only two couples said “I do” at the altar, a third pairing confirmed they are giving things another shot during the November 2022 reunion.

“In some ways, I was definitely shocked [when SK turned me down]. Him and I didn’t talk about, like, a definitive answer before we got up on the altar, but I knew in my heart … that we had this incredible journey,” Raven Ross exclusively told Us Weekly   in October 2022 about former fiancé Sikiru “SK” Alagbada . “And we’ve worked through so many other problems that even if it’s not our time today, like, pretty soon we can try to work on it and get better and just keep growing.”

SK eventually reached out to Raven post-finale and told Us that the twosome were taking things “one day at a time.” By November 2022, however, they had called it quits .

“I walked away from him and I never expected an apology. “After the show, I reached out to her and we talked things over and we are on good terms,” SK, who is set to graduate in 2023, told Us ahead of the finale airing. “We're just taking things one day at a time right now. I'm very consumed with school, so it's been very, very hard to even try to do anything serious. … We’re just taking things one day at a time.”

After SK was accused of cheating in a viral TikTok in November 2022, he and Raven announced their split.

Raven, who still lives in Texas, agreed at the time, explaining that they are “working” on their relationship: “He’s just such a beautiful person, so we’ve been giving each other patience. It's been great.”

According to the senior analyst, he and Nancy have gone through a “roller-coaster” trying to maintain a friendship after he said “I don’t” at the altar.

“‘Could [we] be friends? [Should we] not communicate at all?’ We've gone through being acquaintances,” Bartise explained of the phases of his and Nancy’s relationship. “And as it stands right now, I'm single and we are friends.”

Bartise announced in April 2023 that he had welcomed his first child . When introducing his little one to the world, the reality star shared that he planned on being “the hero” for his son instead of a TV villain. The Netflix personality did not reveal the identity of his son’s mother at the time.

The real estate investor, however, begs to differ.

“I think friends is not the word,” she told Us . “I think that the way he left me at the altar, being blindsided — I needed time to myself to really heal from a broken heart. Do I have respect for him? Do I talk to him if he walks in the room? Yeah, sure. … We've kept it very surface-level, but it's black and white. He said, ‘Yeah, I'm sorry.’ He said, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ And so for me, leaving my shattered heart like at the — there was no coming back from that.”

What happened between Rene and Irais on their Love is Blind: Mexico wedding day? Details explored

Love is Blind: Mexico released Episodes 9-10 on Netflix on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The final five couples reached the ultimate stage of their relationship as they prepared to head to the altar to get married. Having faced many hardships and challenges, they now had to decide if they wanted to build a future with their significant others.

Of all couples, one tied the knot. Karen and Fernando were the sole couple who said "I do." Gerardo and Fernanda broke up, and so did Willy and Francesca. Silvia and Chema agreed to explore their connection before consolidating their relationship with marriage.

In Episode 10, Rene felt unprepared and decided not to get married to Irais. Irais was surprised by his decision and confessed she would have said yes if asked. He added that his father's absence motivated his decision. Despite everything, the couple agreed to be together, hoping they could make their relationship work.

Love is Blind: Mexico star Irais admits "love is unexpected"

Before the couple headed to the altar, Rene's mother informed the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member that his father would not attend his wedding. While speaking to the cameras, she explained he did not believe in the concept of the experiment.

"Rene's father isn't here today because he doesn't agree with it. He doesn't think it's credible to say you're in love after only one month," said Rene's mother.

On the other hand, Irais was certain about her feelings and knew Rene was the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. On their wedding day, the Love is Blind: Mexico couple read their vows and professed love to each other.

When the marriage officiant asked Rene if he accepted Irais as his "lawfully wedded wife," he said:

"Irais, I know that love is blind because I found someone wonderful and magical, but I'm really not ready to take this step."

His response wiped the smile off of Irais' face. She immediately looked down to stop herself from crying. Rene added that he "believed in the team" they made, and knew they had "a long road ahead together." Despite how strongly he felt for her, he could not lie and overlook what his feelings indicated. He confessed he had to come clean to her about his emotions.

Irais' mother said she knew her daughter was "at peace." As the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member walked away from the altar, she said:

"Sometimes love is unexpected, and these things also happen in real life. Not everything can be perfect."

Irais confessed it was not what she imagined her special day to be like. Meanwhile, Rene reassured himself that he made the right choice by calling off the wedding. He knew the timing was not right. However, he believed that Irais was the right person for him.

Therefore, after the guests left, he approached Irais to discuss what they should do next. When Irais asked what prompted his decision, Rene answered:

"I know that you and I are gonna make an incredibly strong team together. But as you know, I really would have liked to have my father here today. I mean, it was pretty difficult for me too, cause I know this was your dream."

He added that he did not want to lie to her about his feelings because he loved her. After hearing Rene's explanation , Irais confessed that although she was "hopeful," she knew he would not be able to go through with the wedding.

Despite everything, Rene believed they could make it work if they moved at their own pace. He reassured her about his feelings and hoped she wanted to continue their journey outside the show.

After much contemplation, Irais said:

"I know that we can do it."

While speaking to the cameras, the Love is Blind: Mexico star noted that their story had been different from everyone else's. She believed that they could be happy together in the future.

Love is Blind: Mexico is available to stream on Netflix.

My Mum, Your Dad series two cast revealed with a mum who looks like daughter’s TWIN

THE cast for the second season of My Mum, Your Dad has been revealed - and matchmaking show fans are in for a treat.

The broadcaster has let slip a brand new trailer for Davina McCall's dating series - which will air tonight on ITV1 to ramp up excitement over the coming months.

Last series, the 'winners' who found love were Natalie and Paul, Sharon and Elliott and Roger and Janey, who all got the seal of approval from their children.

Yet, at the time, fans were left fuming at the lack of a reunion episode - so the new scenes will no doubt be welcome news.

The My Mum, Your Dad trailer opens with a shot of the mansion and Davina's voice saying: "This autumn, there's something in the air ... as a new set of single parents search for love."

She is then seen telling the contestants' kids: "It's up to you to decide who dates who."

Davina's voiceover continues and says: "And another chance to feel the flutters.

"All under the watchful eye of their kids - because it's never too late to feel butterflies.

"My mum your dad coming soon to ITV1 and ITVX."

Among the voiceovers, a clip then shows single mum Clare getting stuck into a pottery session, with daughter Aimee bursting into fits of giggles.

Off camera, the mum described her love language and said: "My love language is physical touch so someone that’s cuddly and tactile that makes me laugh and who’s a warm and kind person."

Malachi, whose mum is Jenny, is seen bursting into tears as he is comforted by the group before a voice is heard saying: "I did not see this coming," teasing the drama ahead.

Meanwhile, Vicky and her daughter Angharad appear "twin-like" in their promo snaps.

The former is seen donning a cream jumpsuit as she perches on a stool while her daughter opts for a strapless waistcoat and trousers in slate grey.

Hinting she's picked the bad boys in the past, the glam mum has said: "“I’ve been having no luck in trying to find someone myself.

"If there’s a room of people, I always tend to go for the one person I shouldn’t!”

Danny, who has entered the experiment with son Ellis, said off-camera: "I’m hoping to meet someone that likes me.

"I don’t have to tick boxes. I'm just looking for someone who likes me back."

ITV have confirmed the new season will start in autumn.

The Sun previously exclusively revealed which  mums and dads stayed the course and are still together  after filming for the first season wrapped up in May.

Host Davina told The Sun she was thrilled the show had worked after she “manifested” the format for older daters. 

She said: “I want to present this show for the rest of my life! 

“I love watching love blossom, and it blossomed very organically and very slowly and sweetly.

“I've been sent photographs of couples since! I'm not going to tell you how many. But there’s a few.

“The show works. I really am Cupid!”

Black powder, pink bows: How shooters got cuter

Polygon spoke with the Valorant development team about the evolution of their cosmetics

Shooting games have become undeniably cute these days.

Your character can snipe people with a rainbow-wrapped gun while wearing a fuzzy shark onesie in Fortnite . In Valorant , you might cinch a close victory not by slicing an enemy with a sharpened blade but with a magical rod emanating glitter. In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , you can play as a K-pop idol and wear a beanie with adorable pink bunny ears . Two recent Call of Duty games even allow you to dress up as Nicki Minaj in a chrome pink metallic bodice .

Gone are the days of shooters leaning into muted and military-inspired looks. Games like GoldenEye had people playing against camo-clad soldiers in sanitized government facilities. Halo leaned into sci-fi aesthetics, but the scuffed metal and bullets of Master Chief still made him a space marine. Other massively popular franchises, like Gears of War, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike, solidified shooters as a genre attempting to emulate the grittiness of war.

Now, though, in-game cosmetic items are more inspired by the art of Lisa Frank , the magical girls of Sailor Moon , and fashion icons like Ariana Grande . To learn more about this trend and the creation of these items, Polygon spoke with the Valorant development team at Riot Games.

The beginning of the girly-pop era in shooters

When Blizzard released Overwatch in 2016, its bright and cheery tone — buoyed by a comparably diverse cast of characters for the time — contrasted with other shooters. It became a hit and sold 50 million copies within four years . On top of that, games like Fortnite have helped popularize the free-to-play model in games, which monetizes the regular release of optional in-game cosmetic items.

Valorant continued the precedent set by games like Overwatch and Fortnite . Riot Games released the sleek first-person team shooter in 2020 as a free-to-play game where players could purchase in-game cosmetics that altered the look of its guns.

Ahead of Valorant ’s release, the development team had to make some crucial decisions about its early cosmetics. Because they had to establish the unique aspects of the game first, the cosmetics couldn’t deviate too far from the tone of the core game. Associate art director of Valorant Sean Marino told Polygon via video chat, “very important to differentiate ourselves as a game from other shooters that lean a little more serious or ones that lean a little bit more silly, like we had to find our place.”

“One of the very first skin attempts was recoloring one of our base weapons, and we made it gold,” Marino said. “And that’s a thing every game does. One of the designers on our team, Nick [Wu Smith], he was just like, Ay, what about that rose gold? Give me a pink kind of version of this .” “This was when the rose gold iPhone was popular,” added Valorant ’s lead cosmetics producer Preeti Pinto. “Exactly,” Marino said. “And he [Wu Smith] was like, I would absolutely get this .”

Girly-girl skins are for everyone

For the Valorant team, creating cosmetic items that touch on a variety of media genres is the goal, Pinto told Polygon. Think steampunk, comic books, and — in the case of the Evori Dreamwings collection — magical girls and anyone who likes cute animals.

Pinto said that the team doesn’t categorize players geographically or by gender or anything “other than their taste.” Depending on the skin, Pinto would say, “This is for players who love super clean aesthetics, [or] this is for players who like really dark edge lord fantasies.”

Cosmetics help our favorite games feel fresh

Developers update games constantly to add new outfits, guns, and more.

“Now that the game [has been] out there for a while, I think we get a lot more free rein to experiment with a lot of things that you might not typically see in many other shooters,” Marino said.

Skins like Radiant Crisis allowed the team to introduce a comic-book-like look to Valorant without inserting a new art style into the game wholesale. Marino told Polygon that even if the team is playing with a different genre, it maintains the “core fundamental aesthetic” of Valorant .

“But we do get a lot of range [so] that we can play around with a lot of different things. I feel really fortunate working on cosmetics because we don’t have to feel so bound to just doing the same thing over and over again,” Marino said.

In the end, the rise of pink and feminine aesthetics in games seems to be an effort to give players a greater range of options. You can get dragons and you can get sakura blossoms. Master Chief is still a space marine — but with cosmetic items, he can wear cute little cat ears . Now players can try it all — military or not.
