Jobscan’s free Microsoft Word compatible resume templates feature sleek, minimalist designs and are formatted for the applicant tracking systems that virtually all major companies use.
Classic Format Resume Templates
Chronological
These are the three standard resume formats : chronological, hybrid, and functional.
The chronological resume template offers a classic, no frills format. Consider this template if you work in a formal industry or want to bring attention to the impressive companies on your resume. Hybrid resume templates are versatile and the most popular format in today’s job search. Functional resume templates are popular for people changing careers or masking holes in their resume. Jobscan doesn’t typically recommend the functional resume format because recruiters may be suspicious of them .

Senior Level and Executive Resume Templates
Once you begin applying to senior level positions, a greater emphasis is placed on the results your organizations have achieved and executive soft skills like leadership , innovation, and entrepreneurial drive. At the executive level, technical skills aren’t as important as they were earlier in your career. Fill out your executive resume template with accomplishments , measurable results, and examples of leadership .
Management Resume Templates
When it comes to writing a management-level resume, try to demonstrate a trajectory of growth along with a combination of deep industry knowledge and interpersonal skills. You need to prove that you’re an expert in your field who is able to delegate tasks and lead your team.
Mid-Career Resume Templates
When you’re no longer entry-level but still working as an independent contributor (vs a manager), your resume needs to focus on your ability to execute. A strong emphasis should be on the hard skills found in the job description. Back these skills up with context to demonstrate your level of expertise.
Recent Grad Resume Templates
When you’re looking for an entry-level job right out of college, your resume is going to look a little different. Your education section is moved up above your work experience and you’re expected to expand upon your college experience. Go into detail with honors, clubs, coursework, etc.
The Importance of ATS-Friendly Resume Templates
If you’re uploading your resume into an online form as part of your job application, it is critical for your resume template to be compatible with applicant tracking systems (ATS) . An expertly written resume complete with a sleek design and optimized resume keywords and action verbs could still fall short if the formatting isn’t ATS compliant.
When you upload your resume , applicant tracking systems parse out the text to make it searchable for a recruiter. They may also transfer the information from our resume to a uniform digital candidate profile. Even if you’re perfectly qualified for the job, your chances of getting a job interview are much lower if an ATS can’t accurately parse your resume.
ATS-friendly resumes are often similar to minimalist resume templates but go a step further to account for ATS algorithms and behaviors. Among other considerations, ATS-friendly resume templates account for the fact that:
- Many ATS can’t handle tables or images.
- Parsing accuracy is dependent on heading names and correctly sequencing your work experience information.
- Certain resume fonts might not be displayed properly in all ATS.
- PDF and docx file types work better than others.
Find out if your resume is ATS-optimized with Jobscan’s resume optimization tool . It will help you write the perfect resume so that you stand out from the competition.
How to Use a Resume Template
Be Selective
Finding the right resume template for you is the first step. Select a template that is ATS-friendly and includes space for all the elements you need to tell your story.
Customize Your Template
Not finding the perfect resume template? Select the best one and make some adjustments. For example, you can remove a hobbies section if you need more room for your work history, add a space for key certifications that don’t fit in the template or add a skills section to better highlight your technical skills.
Resume templates are meant to be a guide to a better resume, not an unbreakable set of rules.
Tailor Your Resume to the Job Every Time
Recruiters and hiring managers are more likely to respond to a resume that is carefully tailored for the specific position .
This means using the job description to focus on the skills and keywords that are most important to the job. Showing that you are results-oriented is another great way to show you are the best candidate. Including relevant measurable results and accomplishments on your resume help demonstrate that you understand what is most important to the company’s success.
After you’ve tailored your resume information within the template, run it through Jobscan’s resume optimization tool to see how well it matches the job. In fact, more than 1 million job seekers have used our tool to help them find the next step in their career—see how it can help you!
Are you still tracking jobs in Excel or Google Sheets? Track and manage your job applications and interviews all in one place with Job Tracker . With the click of a button add a job to Job Tracker. From there you can organize your resumes and job descriptions, keep track of important interview dates and details, and manage multiple job opportunities in one place.
Resume Template FAQs
What is the best resume template for me?
The best resume template is the one that provides room for you to showcase your relevant skills and tell the complete story of your relevant work experience. If you are an entry-level or mid-career applicant, look for a template that highlights your hard skills. For executive-level applicants, a template that focuses on your executive summary and work experience will be best.
Which resume format is best?
Recruiters prefer chronological or hybrid formatted resumes. All of the templates above are great choices! We do not recommend using a functional template, which focuses primarily on skills and downplays work history.
Read more: Why Recruiters Hate the Functional Resume Format
What is the difference between a resume template and a resume builder?
A resume builder is a tool that prompts you to enter your information into input fields and formats a resume for you. Resume templates are typically editable Microsoft Word files that are already formatted. Prefer the ease of a builder? Jobscan’s resume builder is 100% free!

Management Resume Templates
A management resume is a great choice if you are more experienced in your career. Whether you have plenty of experience in people management or you’re trying to get your first managerial role, these professional resume templates will help you stand out.
Senior-Level Resume Templates
When you start getting more experience under your belt, you need to have a resume that allows for you to showcase your career highlights. These senior level resume templates are designed to help you do exactly that.
Mid-Career Resume Templates
A mid-career resume should demonstrate an increase in the level of responsibility you’ve taken on throughout your career. These resume templates will help you draw focus to these responsibilities.
Entry-Level Resume Templates
As a new grad you need to convince the hiring manager you’re capable of performing the role you’re applying to without having past experience to draw on. These new grad resume templates will help you accomplish that.
Resume Templates by Role
Different career types have different resume requirements. A nurse applying to a large, old-school hospital is going to need a different resume template than a programmer applying to a tech company. These resume templates are meant to make that selection process easier for you.
A job resume is a short, sweet, and to-the-point document that spotlights your professional experience. It’s basically a summary.
Whether you’ve been in the workforce for 15+ years, have no job experience, or are somewhere in between, resumes have been sparking fear and dread in job seekers since approximately 1482 when Leonardo De Vinci drafted what became known as the first resume .
Resumes are what just about any place of employment requests when you apply for a job. Companies—big and small—wanna know:
◉ What skills do you bring to the job? ◉ Do you have relevant work experience for the role? ◉ Do you want to work for them?
A good resume answers those questions—and isn’t so unlike De Vinci’s resume that honed in on how he could meet the specific needs and challenges of the Duke of Milan.

The best resume template is the one that complements your personality and allows the space you need to highlight your finest work, top achievements, and job skills.
Every resume template you see on this page has been thoroughly vetted by hiring experts to ensure they include everything you need to help you land your next job. Whether you’re applying to a funky tech startup or looking to join the ranks of a reputable law firm, you’ll find a professional resume template that speaks to you.
Hunting for a new job is incredibly stressful as there’s a lot of uncertainty in the process. And while these resume templates won’t alleviate all stress, they’ll ensure your resume has everything you need to sail through an applicant tracking system (ATS) and impress hiring managers.
Try saying “applicant tracking system” 10 times fast, and you’ll know why it got shortened to ATS.
At its core, an applicant tracking system puts the gas on hiring. Typically, when folks think about ATS software, they think about it weeding out resumes that don’t include the right skills or qualifications.
That’s certainly true enough, but the ATS also helps HR and recruiters organize and sort job candidates, keeps track of communication with job seekers, sets up interviews, and does a host of other not-so-fascinating things.
Basically, when you choose an ATS-friendly resume template from BeamJobs, you can rest easy knowing that the document itself will make it through the software
When it comes to your resume, it will house these staple sections:
◉ Contact info (Triple-check the spelling of your name; see the question about “how to make a resume” for a cringe-worthy BeamJobs blunder.) ◉ Work experience ◉ Skills ◉ Education
Depending on your occupation and years of experience, you could add these optional resume sections:
◉ Resume summary or resume objective ◉ Hobbies and interests ◉ Projects (an umbrella term for things like volunteer experience, academic or personal projects, etc.)
The more relevant job experience you have, the longer the “work experience” section of your resume should be since that’s what employers care about most. On the other hand, when you’ve recently graduated and don’t have much (or any) experience, things like education and projects can take up more real estate on your resume.
Whatever your professional background, our resume maker lets you re-arrange, remove, and add sections as needed to your resume template.
Not to blast our own horns, but we’ve reviewed tens of thousands of resumes in the last few years. Would you believe we’ve actually seen resumes without a name ?! Besides discovering disheartening news like that, we’ve figured out how to make a good resume .
There are plenty of resume tips we could give you, but here are three that, when followed, will most increase your chances of snagging an interview:
Use numbers to showcase your impact in past roles. Your work experience should focus on your measurable accomplishments, not on job responsibilities.
Tailor your resume for each job you apply to, which means reading each job description carefully. As you read, see if any prior work projects come to mind. Include those projects on your resume.
Avoid grammar and spelling errors. We know, you’ve heard it before. But you’d be aghast (fun word) at the number of folks rejected for a job because of this. (C ough cough We won’t say his real name, but one of our team members whose title rhymes with re-bounder once sent out 20 resumes with his name spelled ‘Stepen.’)
One page—plain and simple.
While you might get away with a two-page resume if you’ve got 10-plus years of experience under your hat, keep in mind that recruiters and hiring managers aren’t giving your resume the time of day it deserves anyway.
The most painful part of building a resume is editing yourself. How can your entire career fit into four or five bullet points for each job you’ve had? Here’s some good news: if you’re a senior engineer, it’s totally cool to drop from your resume the server job you had in college.
Even if you whittled the jobs you’d include down to three or four, try starting with a basic resume outline . Fill it to your heart’s content; then, review every job experience bullet point individually and ask, “Does this point show my expertise and say something new?” If the answer’s no, exclude it. Before you know it, you’ll have a polished one-page resume.

Trying to get into graduate school ? With our college student resume templates, it’s easy to highlight your academic achievements and show why you deserve a spot in whichever program you’re interested in.
A combination resume, or hybrid resume, serves those switching careers, mixing elements of skill-based resumes with reverse-chronological resumes. By focusing on the skills and relevant parts of your work experience, the combined resume highlights what makes you perfect for a new career or role.
If you work in a field such as music or photography , you may want to use a resume template that reflects your creativity. We offer plenty of artistic and colorful designs that allow you to showcase your unique perspective.
You should check out our CV templates if it takes more than a few pages to describe your professional background. These CV templates are crafted for job seekers in academics, science, and other highly-qualified industries and those applying overseas.
Executive resumes feature traditional formatting and focus on content that showcases your executive objections, experience, and accomplishments. An executive resume goes deeper than a traditional resume by showcasing awards, company growth, and leadership achievements.
A functional resume focuses primarily on your skills rather than emphasizing your work experience. The functional resume best serves recent graduates and those seeking to change careers.
A generic resume features basic information, much like a traditional resume. It does not contain creative language or fancy design. This kind of resume will work best for entry-level employees or those seeking work in industries not focused on unique or creative hires.
You may prefer customizing the contents of your resume template over Google Docs rather than any other word-processing app. Our templates are easy to transfer over to this platform.
Writing your resume can be challenging if you’ve never had a job before. Our templates for high school students allow you to expand on your educational record, volunteer service, and other activities to fill out your resume.
A hybrid resume blends a skill-based resume with a more traditional, reverse-chronological resume. This combined resume format lets you focus on the skills and experience that best apply to a position if you change careers.
An IT resume communicates your professional experience alongside your technology skills and certifications. A key element of IT resumes is presenting technical information in a way that is easy for non-technical readers to understand.
A minimal resume is a one-page format focusing on the most important details about your experience. Hiring managers can quickly skim a minimal resume to determine if a candidate has the necessary skills and experience.
In some industries, such as fashion and marketing , it’s especially important to feature your creativity. We offer sleek, contemporary resume templates that show hiring managers you’re a modern candidate who’s worthy of a look.
Every job seeker needs a professional resume that features their most relevant job experience and skills and is organized and easy to read. Our clean, well-designed resume templates are tested formats sure to catch the attention of hiring managers.
On average, hiring managers only spend 7.4 seconds reviewing each resume that lands on their desk, so it’s essential that you avoid any unnecessary language or design elements. Our simple resume templates are designed to impress hiring managers quickly.
A skill-based resume focuses on your skills instead of presenting your work experience in order. The skill-based resume best serves those looking to bring established skills to a new career path or those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce.
A stylish resume incorporates creative design, graphics, and unconventional elements to showcase your unique creativity and work experience. A stylish resume may go beyond a simple document by including multi-media elements such as slideshows, videos, or links to online portfolios.
Technology jobs are competitive, so it’s important to have an impactful resume that clearly shows your technical skills, the software programs you’re familiar with, and any relevant projects. This selection of templates has a wide variety for any tech job.
Often, when people refer to a resume, they mean a traditional resume that contains your work experience, academic credentials, skills, and achievements. These resumes only contain text without added graphics or specialty formatting.
Our resume templates include highly specialized options for life situations such as military-to-civilian transitions and stay-at-home moms reentering the workforce.
Resume Builder offers high-quality resume templates for various industries, design preferences, and career circumstances.
The best resume template for your job search will depend on your situation. For example, those who work in an artistic field such as music or fashion may consider a template that highlights their creativity. On the other hand, a more modern and straightforward template would be the most appropriate option for industries that prioritize professionalism, such as accounting or management.

How To Write A Resume
A resume template is the best cure for the blank page syndrome. You’re halfway done — all that’s left is to fill in the blanks in the resume template and hit save.
Select The Right Resume Format
The 3 most popular resume formats are chronological, functional, and combination resumes.
- Chronological resume organizes the information like LinkedIn does – from the latest position to the first one, with education, interests, and additional info listed later. It’s the most popular resume format, preferred for recruiters. Go for it unless you’re entry-level or changing careers.
- Functional resume keeps the focus on your skills and experience, rather than employment history. It’s the go-to choice for candidates with employment gaps and those without much hands-on work experience.
- Combination resume takes the best of both worlds and allows you to spice up your “dry” employment history with some juicy details about your skill set and achievements. Startups and edgier companies may prefer this.
Create a Compelling Summary
A resume summary is a two-sentence statement highlighting your key qualifications, skills, and value proposition for the role. It sits in the header area, right after your name and contact details. Make a great first impression!
Whether you’re searching for your first teaching job or you’re ready for a change, you’ll need a solid resume. There’s a lot of conflicting advice out there on how to write a resume that will land you an interview, so it’s worth taking some time to review teacher resume examples first. We’ve rounded up examples for pretty much any kind of educator and assembled tips for how to write a strong modern teacher resume.
Best of all, we’ve got a free, fully customizable teacher resume template to get you started quickly and easily. Fill out the form on this page to grab your template, then use our tips to start building your resume today.
Teacher Resume Tips
Teacher resume examples.
Resumes have changed a lot in recent years, so do your research to find out what the latest trends are. For instance, while an “objectives” section used to be a resume standard, people often drop this section today in favor of more space to highlight their accomplishments. Start with these general resume tips, then get more advice for completing our free teacher resume template, section by section.
General Tips
- Keep it to one or two pages. Hiring managers don’t have time to read overly long resumes. Put the most important information up front, and remove anything that doesn’t truly strengthen your application.
- Be honest. While you want to highlight your strengths and achievements, don’t go overboard. If you exaggerate your experience but are unable to perform certain tasks, you may put your future job at risk before you even get started.
- Skip the gimmicks. Some people will tell you the way to make your resume stand out is to use fun fonts or a “creative” design. The fact is, people who are hiring want an easy-to-read, clear presentation that highlights your achievements and credentials. That’s what will land you an interview.
- Tailor your resume. Keep a standard resume document that you can customize for the specific job you’re applying for. That might mean moving sections around, highlighting specific skills or experiences, or deciding which parts of your career deserve to be placed up front. Take a close look at the job description, and tailor your resume accordingly.
- Don’t try to circumvent the system. Years ago, people would tell you to ignore requests to send your resume and instead show up in person. Our advice: Don’t do it! Application systems are nearly all online these days, and for good reason. This helps hiring committees by organizing information efficiently and ensuring they meet all anti-discrimination laws. So just send your resume and application using the method requested.
- Don’t forget a cover letter. A great cover letter really can help your resume stand out. Learn how to make your teacher cover letter special here.
Contact Information
On today’s resumes, your mailing address is optional. In fact, if you’re looking for a job outside of your current geographical area, it can sometimes be helpful to leave it off. This way, employers won’t worry about whether you’re willing to relocate for the job.
Email addresses are not optional. This is the way most schools will contact you today, so be sure to provide yours. You might want to take a look at your address to make sure it sounds relatively professional too. Ideally, it simply contains a version of your name (e.g., “[email protected]”); don’t forget you can grab a free email address from sites like Gmail if you need to. But other addresses are fine too, as long as there’s nothing questionable. “[email protected]” is fine. “[email protected]” is not.
Professional Objective/Summary
As mentioned earlier, resume objectives are used less and less today. Recent college grads or those transitioning to teaching careers might still decide to include a professional objective statement. Those with more experience have replaced objectives with a summary statement that provides an overview of their career. It’s also OK to delete this section altogether if you’d like more space in the Relevant Work Experience section.
Education and Certifications
Include your undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as any certifications or licensures you hold. Note: It’s up to you whether you include your graduation date. Some people worry it can open them up to age discrimination. You’ll likely be asked for this information if you continue in the hiring process, so they can verify your degrees.
Related Experience
This is the real meat of your teacher resume. You can list jobs chronologically starting with the most recent, or choose to place your most relevant experience first. Either way, include your employer’s name, dates of employment, and the position/s you held. Then, highlight your experience and achievements. Strive to make your statements measurable and quantifiable rather than just a listing of your job duties.
Weak statements:
- Taught fifth grade science and math
- Prepared students for standardized math tests
- Oversaw annual school science fair
Strong statements:
- Instructed 100+ students each year in fifth grade science fundamentals, including human anatomy, electricity and magnetism, and earth and space science
- Improved standardized testing math scores by an average of 8% over a period of five years
- Organized seven annual school science fairs by coordinating 200+ participants, finding qualified judges, and arranging for prizes donated by the community
New college grad? You should definitely include your student teaching or internship experience in this section!
Additional Experience
You can use this section to include jobs you’ve held that aren’t quite as relevant to the one you’re applying for. If you’re new to the working world, it’s OK to include non-teaching jobs here. For those with longer careers, it’s probably not necessary to list every job you’ve ever had. Just highlight any experience that helps support your application or fills any employment gaps.
Professional Honors and Leadership
If you’ve received awards or honors related to teaching, share them here. The same goes for any leadership roles you’ve held in educational professional orgs.
Professional Affiliations
If space allows, you might want to include a short list of respected professional organizations you belong to. You should definitely include them if you play a very active role, have been invited to speak as an education expert at a conference, etc. Otherwise, this section is optional.
Other Teacher Resume Sections
Here are some sections you might consider adding if you have space, and a few to skip altogether.
- Professional skills: Don’t include this section if your skills are simply those expected of any teacher. But if you’ve built up any unusual and relevant teaching skills through experience or professional development, you could include them here. (Fluency in multiple languages, for example.)
- Community involvement or volunteer work: If you’ve been heavily involved in community organizations that work with children or education, consider highlighting those achievements on your resume.
- Publications: Have you published articles in an educational or professional journal, or had your work featured on a trusted, well-known website? Include any relevant articles and links.
Here’s what you don’t need on your resume:
- Hobbies or “unique” unrelated skills (like “juggling” or “Cordon Bleu chef”).
- Any information about religious or political affiliations, or your marital status, gender, race, or age. These could lead to potential bias or discrimination in the hiring process.
- References: Most people leave this section off their resume these days, as job applications or hiring committees will ask you for them separately. Line up your references and gather their contact information, but hang onto them until you’re asked to provide the info. You don’t even need to put “References available upon request,” since hiring managers already assume that.

Hunter Biden has been convicted of all three felony charges related to the purchase of a revolver in 2018 when , prosecutors argued, the president’s son lied on a mandatory gun-purchase form by saying he was not illegally using or addicted to drugs.
Here’s what to know:
- What happens next: Hunter Biden faces up to 25 years in prison , but no sentencing date has been set.
- Reaction: Hunter Biden said he is grateful for support from family and friends but “disappointed by the outcome.” The president says he’ll accept the outcome and continue to respect the judicial process as his son considers an appeal.
- What was the trial about? Jurors found Hunter Biden guilty of lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application by saying he was not a drug user and illegally having the gun for 11 days.
After the verdict was announced, the White House canceled press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s scheduled briefing and announced that Biden would spend the evening in Delaware to be with Hunter and other family members.
He was scheduled to give a speech on his administration’s efforts to limit gun violence and toughen enforcement of gun laws at a conference hosted by the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund in Washington. From there, he’s traveling to Wilmington before he leaves Wednesday for the Group of Seven leaders conference in Italy.
The special counsel appointed to investigate Hunter Biden says his conviction on federal gun crimes is a reminder that no one is above the law.
David Weiss, U.S. Attorney for Delaware, spoke after a Delaware jury convicted Hunter of three felonies Tuesday related to his purchase of a handgun in October 2018.
“No one in this country is above the law,” Weiss said. “Everyone must be accountable for their actions.”

Justice Department special counsel David Weiss, whose office prosecuted the case against Hunter Biden, is expected to deliver a statement in a few minutes.
Defense attorney Abbe Lowell says they are “naturally disappointed” by Hunter Biden’s guilty verdict. Lowell said in a statement that they respect the jury process and will vigorously pursue all legal challenges that are available as they have throughout the case.
“Through all he has been through in his recovery, including this trial, Hunter has felt grateful for and blessed by the love and support of his family,” Lowell said.

“I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome,” Hunter Biden wrote in a statement following his guilty verdict. “Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time.”
Republican reaction to Hunter Biden’s verdict Tuesday was swift and varied as some called the guilty outcome overdue accountability for the Biden family while others said it represented a “veil of fairness.”
Rep. James Comer, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, who has been investigating the president’s family for the last two years, said that while the verdict marked “a step toward accountability,” there won’t be justice “until the Department of Justice investigates everyone involved in the Bidens’ corrupt influence peddling schemes.”

Comer and other House Republicans have pursued an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden for the last 17 months that has failed to directly connect the commander-in-chief to his family’s overseas business dealings. Comer has taken a special interest in Hunter Biden and his various legal woes, bringing in the president’s son last year to conduct an hourslong deposition.
After Hunter Biden’s conviction, President Joe Biden said in a statement that he and the first lady will always be there for their son “with our love and support.”
The president says he’ll accept the outcome and continue to respect the judicial process as his son considers an appeal.
President Biden says he and Jill love their son and they’re proud of the man he is today.
“So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery,” Biden said.
Hunter Biden faces up to 10 years in prison on the first count, five years on the second count and another 10 years on the third count when he is sentenced. It’s not clear how long a sentence he could receive. The sentence is up to the judge and Hunter Biden is a first-time offender.
Judge Maryellen Noreika noted that sentencing typically is 120 days out, but no sentencing date was set.
Hunter Biden left the courthouse holding hands with the first lady and his wife, Melissa. They did not speak to reporters, got into waiting SUVs and drove off.

Hunter Biden patted defense attorney Abbe Lowell on the left shoulder after the judge’s courtroom deputy read aloud the verdict.
Biden hugged both of his attorneys and said thank you after the jurors left the courtroom. He smiled wanly at his relatives in the gallery and then hugged and kissed his wife before leaving the courtroom.
The judge has dismissed jurors.
Hunter Biden leaves the courthouse with his wife as jurors begin a second day of deliberations.
He isn’t required to stay at the courthouse while the jury deliberates, but is expected to return if the jury comes back with a note or verdict.
Jurors have convened to resume deliberations in Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial in Delaware.
The jury deliberated for about one hour on Monday after attorneys gave their closing arguments.

The judge presiding over Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial in Delaware is a former corporate civil lawyer with a background in biology who was nominated to the bench by the Biden family’s chief political antagonist: former President Donald Trump.
But even while that might raise partisan eyebrows and questions of political pressure in the highly watched case, District Judge Maryellen Noreika was recommended for the bench by the two Democratic senators.
She has a brief history of political donations to both parties — mostly Republicans — and had not worked on criminal cases or presided over a courtroom before getting the nod as a federal judge. The New York Times reported she was registered to vote as a Democrat from 2000-2020 until changing her registration to no party affiliation.

President Joe Biden’s son is charged with falsely denying on a federal firearms form that he was a drug addict when he bought a handgun in October 2018. He is charged with two felony counts of making a false statement related to the purchase of a firearm, and a third felony count of illegally possessing a gun while being an unlawful user of drugs.
If convicted in the gun case, he faces up to 25 years in prison, though first-time offenders do not get anywhere near the maximum.

Hunter Biden’s lawyers have sought to show he was trying to turn his life around at the time of the gun purchase, having completed a rehabilitation program at the end of August 2018. The defense called three witnesses, including Hunter’s daughter Naomi , who told jurors that her father seemed be improving in the weeks before he bought the gun.
And the defense told jurors that no one actually witnessed Hunter Biden using drugs during the 11 days he had the gun before Beau’s widow, Hallie, found it in Hunter’s truck and threw it in a trash can.
Prosecutors spent last week using testimony from his ex-wife and former girlfriends , photos of Hunter Biden with drug paraphernalia and other tawdry evidence to make the case that he lied when he checked “no” on the form at the gun shop that asked whether he was “an unlawful user of, or addicted to” drugs.
“He knew he was using drugs. That’s what the evidence shows. And he knew he was addicted to drugs. That’s what the evidence shows,” prosecutor Leo Wise told jurors in his closing argument Monday.

The trial began last week in Delaware’s federal court, with prosecutors seeking to show that Hunter Biden was addicted and regularly using drugs during the 11-day period when he bought and owned the gun. Hunter Biden’s defense team sought to show that he did not consider himself an “addict” when he filled out the form, and said he was trying to turn his life around at the time.

And Siri can take actions across apps, so after you ask Siri to enhance a photo for you by saying “Make this photo pop,” you can ask Siri to drop it in a specific note in the Notes app — without lifting a finger.
