BSC Mathematics at Christ University- A Comprehensive Review

  • The library timings is awesome and a student can borrow 2 books at a time for 21 days .
  • Fest and events hosted by various committees within the university. Placements and career scope is really good .
  • The attendance rate is 85% which is a bit high i feel .
  • Strict dress code including wearing tie, perfect formal shoes, rolled up sleeves .

Admission :

I did not apply to any other college as Christ University was my first preference. No, I did not apply to any other college so I did not get rejection from any other colleges. So for my course students are required to get a minimum mark of 80 % in classes 10 and 12 and after that selection is done based on Merit basis through CUET (Christ University Entrance Test) and personal interview. Students are required to answer 100 MCQS in 90 min and on clearing the test they have to give a personal interview and on the success of both, the students are selected.

Spoorthi Hanamasetti

"Christ university: A snapshot of campus life"

  • Campus environment and its surroundings .
  • Faculties and Friends are too good , Seniors are friendly

Main reason to choose this College is campus placements and the reputation of the collage. It has strict rules and have high displane rules. Compared to other collages this College gives more oppurtunites not only in studies but also in sports, dance, singing, there are lot of fests conducted were students get real world corporate exposures. No i just applied to only this College and gor seat here. Admission process is bit lengthy First we have to get the application form then after results in one room they will ask the marks they make us wait in a room and call for one on one interview , then they fill make us fill the form and pay the fees this was before corona. cut off percentage is usually 90% .

Chiest University College Review

  • The college focuses more on overall development rather than just marks which is a big advantage because of you are from Christ even companies prioritise because of that very reason.
  • The campus life is pretty good, classes will be early morning. B com and CA classes combined will get very hectic.
  • Administration is very bureaucratic and it's not a good thing.

The reputation of the college in the job market was the biggest reason and also I've been a student of Christ PU college and I knew how it was and chose the same college. I had applied for other colleges as well but those were all back-up in case Christ rejected me. I was accepted in the other colleges too.

Abhay Rampure

The day in Christ university

  • The college supports very good cultural activities and also has numerous clubs where students can be part of exciting adventures and knowledge learning
  • The faculty is experienced in their respective fields and the teaching quality is good thing about christ university. The infrastructure is also amazing with 4 blocks and a separate block for research and development along with canteen under each bl
  • The university is very strict with uniforms and rules
  • Attendance is followed very strictly and any shortage of attendance means u won't be allowed to write the test.

Other college i applied to was jain college (jayanagar ) and also got into jain but the fees was too expensive . Christ was a more affordable option and better in terms of quality of teaching , culturals etc. Also the course i was interested was in christ as it would help me clear the CFA level 1. To get into christ first your 12th percentage should be above 85. A online test is held based on various subjects related to the course you have opted. This is followed by personal interview and micro presentation. Selection happens on merit based on the online tesr, interview, micropresentation .

Shamanth M V Shetty

My Review of Christ (Deemed to be University) as a student

  • The teachers were good, chill and friendly, you did have some black sheep but overall they were really good
  • The college is always involved in some or the other fest and for every fest the college is decorated and stall are put up which is really beautiful to watch
  • The college is really strict with regard to attendance irrespective of medical certificate
  • Some rules where there are options to be linient aren't that's way, they follow the rules to the extreme

Admission was based on board exam merit and admission process is smooth too without any unnecessary processes, I could not get into SJCC as my marks were below the cut off point, moreover i was happy with Christ as the religious based differences during admission was almost non existent here, unlike SJCC. Christ is strict and makes u disciplined, so the shift from college life to work life isn't much of a difference but the same was not the same when I enquired about it from friends of SJCC

Arin Mukherjee

All About Christ University, Delhi NCR

  • I liked the college's exposure to the industry
  • Environment is very friendly. Ragging doesn't happen
  • Too much strictness and alot of rules and regulations
  • Hectic schedule. Food is a bit costly inside the campus

I got confirmed admission in symbiosis Noida, symbiosis pune, narsee monjee navi mumbai, narsee monjee Bangalore, Christ University Bannerghatta road campus but i chose Christ because my parents wanted me to study in Christ because of its strict environment. I chose Delhi, NCR because I have my relatives here.

Khushi bhatnagar

Christ University, NCR Campus

  • The infrastructure is amazing. The classrooms and campus are beautiful.
  • The teachers here are extremely professional, as well as really good at their expertise.
  • The food in the cafeteria is really expensive
  • The attitude of the security guard persons is very mean and rude even if you are nice to them

I also applied to iim indore and iim ranchi. I couldn't get in as i didnt clear the cut off for the ipmat exam due to tbe high levels of competition there. For christ, i had to give a test and an interview.

Christ Insights

  • The extra curricular activities in christ are the plus point of this university. Various fests and events make sure that the campus is always lively and helps students in growth and development.
  • Christ is also knows for its discipline. Christ makes sure that students while enjoying their college life are disciplined as well and always maintain professionalism.
  • The college timings are inconvenient a lot of times
  • The dress code is very strict especially for sbm students and it can create chaos sometimes. While being in college students do not prefer to be restricted about the uniform.

Christ was always my first preference. I chose christ over other colleges as the opportunities provided in Christ especially for sbm students is like no other college. The experiences provided by christ help in the personal as well as professional development of an individual. There is a lot to learn. The various events, clubs as well as fests make sure personal growth. The career opportunities are also top tier. The discipline followed here also helps in shaping a person. The admission process of christ starts with filling the application form , then giving the aptitude test and appearing for the interview after the results of the aptitude test. I was waitlisted in nmims branding and advertising

For postgraduate students, you will be asked questions from your graduation course. Be thorough with the basics as the interviewers want to test your knowledge of the subject. The questions are not very tricky and if you have an understanding of the subject, then you will be able to answer the question easily. Also, you will be tested on your communication skills and how well you can convey the answers to the interviewer. Do not lose your confidence, if you are not able to answer a few questions then let the interviewer know and they will ask you different questions. Do not be nervous as the interviewers are very friendly.

Satyam Purwar

Due to the lockdown, Christ University took admission interviews online. The interview includes a micro presentation. You will be given 60 seconds to brainstorm your micro presentation topic and then you will have to talk about it for 90 seconds.

One of my friends had the chance to appear for the PI and Micro Presentation of Christ University Bangalore and shared his experience of the same. He claimed the overall process to be intriguing but not as challenging as he had expected. He was asked very basic questions during the interview some of them being

  • The interview began with his Introduction
  • They asked him about his parents and siblings.
  • He was asked why did he choose the specific course.
  • During the Micro Presentation, he was asked about his vivid experience
  • Then he was asked some questions from the class 12th syllabus.
  • Then he was asked the reason he chose Christ University.
  • Lastly, they asked him about his backup plans if he failed to make it to Christ University.

The overall interview went pretty well and he later got selected!

With 95% in CBSE, should I try for a B.Com (Hons) from DU or pursue a BBA from Christ University?

Both the colleges are well known and the degrees that you want to pursue are in high demand. However, it depends on your interests and preferences. A BBA degree from Christ University focuses on the various aspects of marketing, business administration, management, operation and human resources. The B.Com degree from Delhi University focuses on finance, commerce, economics and accounting. Another factor that you must consider is the location of the college and which is more comfortable for you. Both the colleges have active campus life but Christ is the winner because of the multiple events, fests and club activities that take place every day. The placements for both the courses are satisfactory. So, give it a thought and choose the degree that you are passionate about.

I have my skills presentation, micro presentation and interview this Sunday. But am not sure how to prepare for it. To be honest, I am not even sure what will happen that day. o if possible can someone guide me and help me understand what I have to prepare, what will happen that day, what is a micro presentation, etc. When I searched online, some sites were saying micro presentation is for Bcom and MBA students, so I am really confused. And I also read somewhere something about group interviews, what does that mean?
