It’s up to you to decide how to, and indeed whether you choose to, use our curricula and teaching resources. They are, and will always be free for you to access, whenever you need them.

Downloading our resources allows you to edit and adapt them however you need. Our resources are designed to be flexible as we know teachers know their schools and pupils best. Take a look at our planning page for more inspiration on using our resources.

We also know that there are students without laptops or internet access and appreciate the challenge of digital inclusion outside of school. Downloading resources means that teachers can provide disadvantaged pupils with printed copies or even offline copies (via a USB stick, for example), so that pupils can continue to access Oak offline.

Duke Announces University Merit Scholarships for 50 Members of the Class of 2028

Campus fromt he air.

Fifty incoming students from Duke University’s Class of 2028 have been awarded merit scholarships.

Duke’s Office of University Scholars and Fellows (OUSF) merit scholarships are designed to enable students to fully realize their intellectual ambitions, individual talents, and specific interests.

The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees for four years (eight semesters) of undergraduate study. In addition, scholars have access to funding for enrichment activities, which they may use to conduct research; present at or attend professional conferences; and participate in international learning experiences both during the summer and academic year.

“We are pleased to welcome a new cohort of merit scholars. This diverse group of scholars illuminate Duke's values. We look forward to watching them move through their paths, anticipating their achievements at Duke and beyond,” said Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education Candis Watts Smith.

“These scholarships, funded by generous philanthropic contributions, ensure that these scholars are financially supported and able to thrive, build relationships, engage in communities, and have enriching experiences over the next four years.

“Still more, it takes a village to help all Duke students, including our merit scholars, to have transformational experiences at Duke. I am thankful for the committed faculty directors and the dedicated team members with the Office of Undergraduate Education and the Office of University Scholars and Fellows who help our merit scholars bring this vision into fruition.”

Each individual scholarship program has a dedicated faculty or staff director who provides mentorship, guidance, and activities throughout the scholar’s career at Duke. In addition, the OUSF staff offers programming for all scholars to learn and engage with each other, cultivating a strong network of merit scholars at Duke.

For more information on individual scholarships, visit  the Office of University Scholars and Fellows .

Emmys 2024: Predictions (and voting advice) for all 15 main categories

A collage showing scenes from several Emmy contending series.

• Show more sharing options
  • Copy Link URL Copied!

Emmy voting is underway, and if you’re one of the 24,000 Television Academy members wondering if there’s still time to binge-watch all three seasons of “Reservation Dogs” to finally get up to speed, the answer is: Yes. But get busy. Ballots are due June 24.

Is there ever enough time to watch everything and be a fully informed Emmy voter? Probably not. There are a handful of shows I never got around to viewing, despite my best intentions. And no, I’m not revealing them because I don’t need your judgment. I didn’t chastise (beyond a little silent rebuke to myself) latecomers to “Reservation Dogs,” as I don’t think you can blame anyone for not sampling each and every one of the more than 300 series submitted. Unless you didn’t watch “Shōgun.” Then we need to talk.

Another problem vexing voters this year is that there are too many worthy contenders in the limited series categories and not enough decent dramas to reward, making balloting equally challenging but for different reasons. Comedies? Just right. As long as “Reservation Dogs” is finally rewarded . But again, no judgment. (Yet.)

Here’s a quick rundown of the series and actors that seem to be registering with voters, along with viewing suggestions for anyone still doing their homework. I’ll revisit these shortly before Emmy nominations are announced July 17.
