We are pleased to announce the release of the PhD program application form for the upcoming academic year at Kashmir University. Our PhD program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to pursue research in a wide range of fields, and to develop advanced skills and knowledge in their chosen area of study.

To apply for the PhD program at Kashmir University, please carefully follow the steps outlined below:

Eligibility Criteria (KU):

• Application Form: The application form for the PhD program is available on the university’s official website. Please download and fill the form completely, and ensure that all the information provided is accurate and up-to-date.

Documents Required (KU ):

• Copy of Master’s degree certificate or equivalent
• Copy of mark sheet/transcript of Master’s degree
• Copy of caste/category certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of research proposal (not exceeding 1000 words)
• Two passport size photographs
• The application fee for the PhD program is Rs. 1000. The fee can be paid through a demand draft in favor of “Kashmir University” payable at Srinagar, or through an online payment gateway.

Application Fee:

• Submission: The completed application form along with the required documents and application fee should be submitted to the Director of Admissions, Kashmir University, Hazratbal, Srinagar – 190006, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

Selection Process:

• The selection of candidates for the PhD program will be based on their performance in the entrance examination and interview conducted by the university. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the date and venue of the examination and interview.

Important Dates:

• The last date for submission of the application form is 31st May 2023. The entrance examination and interview will be conducted in the month of July 2023.

University of Kashmir PhD Admission 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria

• 55% marks in aggregate. or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed, excluding grace/statutory marks. if any, in Master’s Degree in the concerned subject/allied subject from a recognized university or in any recognized Professional Degree declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree by the Equivalence Committee of the University or an equivalent Degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under law having this mandate or by an Equivalence Committee of the University.
• Relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ persons with disability (PWDs) and other categories of candidates approved by university.
• The candidates who have successfully completed M.Phil Degree from the University of Kashmir with grade ‘A’ or ‘B’ or the candidates having been selected to the M.Phil Programme on the basis of entrance test and successfully completed M.Phil degree from any other recognized university, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where ever grading system is followed) or any other equivalent Degree declared so for the purposes of these Statutes by the Equivalence Committee of the University shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D programme. However, a relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for the M.Phil pass out candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ persons with disability (PWDs) and other categories of candidates approved by University.

Selection Process

• The eligible candidates other than the candidates exempted from entrance test. shall have to qualify the Entrance Test by securing atleast 50% marks.
• The candidates who have qualified UGC NET/JRF or CSIR-UGC NET/JRF/ ICAR-NET/SET/GATE WOS-A/INSPIRE fellows with fellowships and Teacher Fellowship or any other equivalent test declared so by the UGC or have passed M.Phil with least 55% marks or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where ever grading system is followed) shall be exempted from the Entrance Test. However, a relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for the M.Phil pass outs belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/persons with disability (PWDs) and other categories of candidates approved by University.
• JRFS and WOS-A/INSPIRE fellows with fellowships are to be selected in the first instance against the available vacancies. Where the numbers of vacancies are less than the number of JRF/WOS-A/INSPIRE fellows with fellowships, the selection shall be made on the basis of PG merit.
• Where the number of candidates exempted from the Entrance Test under Clause (2) above is more than the number of seats available then no Entrance Test will be conducted. Selection of other exempted categories together with the candidates who have qualified entrance test with 50% marks, other than JRFS and WOS- A/INSPIRE fellows with fellowships, shall be made on the basis of overall merit position obtained as per following criteria:

The entrance test qualified candidates shall be required to appear before the DRC for common interaction along with the exempted candidates other than JRFs and WOS and INSPIRE fellows with fellowships to ascertain (i) student interest (ii) inclination (iii) research aptitude (iv) area of specialization/interest and DRC shall finalize the list of selected candidates and their supervisors.

Entrance Test notification for admission to Ph.D programmes-2023

It is notified for the information of all the candidates who have already submitted online application forms for admission to Ph.D programme in response to this office notifications dated 25-04-2023 & 17-05-2023 and are desirous to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted shortly in the following subjects/disciplines against resultant/available vacancies, are required to deposit `500/- through online mode only by entering form number on the University website under admission tab:-

The applicants can deposit the fee upto 22th November 2023. After successful deposition of fee, a separate notification for downloading roll number slips and conduct of Entrance Test shall be issued.

• Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking.

University of Kashmir Admission: CUET UG 2024 will be conducted by the NTA from May 15 to May 21. Before that, CUET PG 2024 will be held from March 11 to March 28. 

The University of Kashmir has been ranked  58  under the overall category of NIRF Ranking 2023 . The Kashmir University NIRF score in the overall category was 50.77. Moreover, n the university category, the University of Kashmir's ranking is 33 with a score of 53.08. Kashmir University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade. As per the NIRF 2024 report submitted by the University of Kashmir 119 UG, 346 PG, and 39 Integrated PG students got placed for the year 2022. The median package for UG courses in Kashmir University placement is in the range between Rs 5 LPA and Rs 8 LPA. While for PG and Integrated PG courses, the median package was Rs 7 LPA and Rs 5 LPA.

What is the cutt off marks of 5 year llb for each subject?

The BA LLB cut off for the year 2023 is not released yet. The Central University of Kashmir cut off 2022 for BA LLB course was 85.87 (general), 82.41 (EWS), 74.30 (OBC), 72.77 (SC), 68.66 (ST) and 62.76 for SN (GBL). The Central University of Kashmir accepts CUET UG scores for admission in the BA LLB programme. 

BA LLB is a five years integrated programme offered by the Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir. The annual fees for BA LLB course at the university is Rs 23,350. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Class 12 from a recognised board and a valid score in CUET UG.   

When will UG admission form open

Dear Danish, 

Kashmir University UG admissions shall begin anytime soon. The university has released the application form for B.Tech, M.Tech, Diploma, Certification and PG programmes. Hence, it is expected that the application form of KU shall be released shortly. The university offers admissions based on CUET scores. So, if you want to get admission to the undergraduate programmes then you must have a valid CUET scorecard for admission. The University of Kashmir also offers admission through distance learning and the registration for DLE has started.

How to Apply for SKUAST 2022

• SKUAST Srinagar publishes an application form for several undergraduate and postgraduate degrees on their website. Candidates that meet the eligibility requirements may apply for admission.
• They must pay INR 1,500 for undergraduate courses and INR 3000 for graduate and doctoral studies using a credit/debit card, net banking, or e-challan generated when filling out the online application form.

Kashmir University Admission 2024-25

Kashmir University PG admission's last date is 15 August 2024 for the academic session 2024-25 for all the UG and PG courses. Some popular courses offered by the University are BA, BCom, BBA, MA, MCom, MBA, MCA, L.L.B, L.L.B, BA {Hons.}, LLM, M.Phil, BSc, B.Pharma, B.Com {Hons.}, M.Ed, M.Tech, and more. Admission is based on the entrance test as well as the merit score of the qualifying examination. Students who appeared in the CUET ( Common University Entrance Test) can also apply for admission at Kashmir University.

There are more than 14 faculties that offer the course and other faculties to their students who are admitted to Kashmir University. Those faculties that offer education in multiple domains are Business Studies, Social Sciences, Arts, Languages and Literature, Engineering,  Dentistry,  Medicine, Biological Sciences, Law, Applied Sciences & Technology, Education & Behavioural Sciences, Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Unani & Ayurvedic Medicine, and Open Learning.

There are multiple national-level entrance exams that the university accepts for admission such as CUET, JEE Main, GATE, CMAT, GPAT, Etc. Kashmir University itself also conducts the entrance exam which is known as Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET). Kashmir University UG Admission 2024-25

Kashmir University Admission to various undergraduate courses such as BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, etc. The deadline to fill out the Kashmir University UG admission form was 20 June 2024 at @kashmiruniversity.net. Kashmir University UG Admission 2024 will start with regular programmes that are being taught in applied science & technology, biological sciences, arts, languages & literature, business studies, and the law department. Here students will have options such as BA LLB, LLB, BPHARM, BPA Music, BVA Visual Arts, DPTT, BE , BTECH Electronics & Communication Engg., Mechanical Engg., and Civil Engg., programmes to study.

Admission to the BTECH  degree programme will be offered on entrance qualification. The students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent, with PCM having 50 %. Those with Qualified JEE MAIN and basic eligibility are only eligible for admission to Kashmir University BTECH.

At Kashmir University the date of Kashmir University admission 2024-25 formalities for Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. The programme offered through the Department of Education is extended.

Kashmir University B.Tech admission 2024

Kashmir University started B.Tech admission and the last date to apply was 20 June 2024. The course is 4 years in duration. Candidates willing to pursue a B.tech programme can apply for Kashmir University admission 2024-25 from the university's official website. The Admission will be based on the entrance exam which applied candidates have to take. To appear at the entrance, the candidate must have completed 10+2 with the science stream.

Kashmir University LLB Admission 2024

Applications are invited online for Kashmir University admission 2024-25 to the 5-Year BA-LL.B programme after applying or appearing in the Entrance Test. For the academic session 2024, the Merit List is available on the University's website under the "Self-financed Seat" quota.

Kashmir University PG Admission 2024-25

University of Kashmir admission for PG courses has started for the academic session 2024-25. The last date to apply for the admission is 20 August 2024.  Students must visit the official website admission portal for detailed information about courses and the latest update on Kashmir University 2024 admission. 

There are 14 faculty that are offering admission into PG, and PG diploma courses. Students can apply for admission into these courses after completion of the UG course or any other equivalent educational qualification. 

The minimum eligibility to pursue any of the PG level courses at Kashmir Univesity is having a UG degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50%  for general category students and about 5-10% relaxation in the marks for reserved (SC/ST, and other backward) category students for the admission

There are several courses that students can pursue such as M.Pharm, MBA, M.Ed, M.Com, MA, LLM, M.Tech, MSc., and many more with multiple specializations to choose from. There are more than 20+ specialization courses that are being offered on the PG level by Kashmir University.

To get admission into some of the courses such as M.Tech, MBA, M.Pharma, etc. are required to submit the national-level entrance exam valid result for admission. The university also conducts its own entrance exam which is the KUET ( Kashmir University Entrance Test) for the admission process. Admissions to the LLM Course is also based on KUET.

Kashmir University PhD admission 2024 last date will be  31 August 2024*  to register for the PhD course for the academic year 2024-25. The university will commence fresh admission for the doctoral degree-level programs on 7 August 2024* . Eligible applicants can submit their online registration form before the deadline. The university offers multiple disciplines for Ph.D. programs like Biochemistry , Bio-resources, Chemistry, Commerce , and many more (as per the official notification).

So, those who have a postgraduate (PG) degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a UGC-recognized university are eligible to apply for Kashmir University Ph.D. Admission 2024. As part of the university's PhD programs, Kashmir University invites scholars to apply. The University offers an online application to be downloaded from  Kashmir University's official website . Send the automatically generated form with fees received and the documents required to the Office of the Development Council. The application fee is INR 500 for each course paid by a DD.

Kashmir University Application Form Fees is Rs 750. It is non-refundable and can be paid online only. The applicants must check their application form status after submitting the  Kashmir University registration form.

Kashmir University Admission: Eligibility Criteria

• The University of Kashmir Admission 2024-25 to the M.Pharm course is done based on the GPAT score.
• A bachelor must have at least 50% marks or corresponding professional skills and at least three years of management or administrative experience in order to be eligible for a master's (executive) course.
• A written test (6 5 marks), a group discussion (15 marks), and a personal interview will be held to select an MBA (Executive) course (10 marks). In addition, work experiences with up to 10 marks will be given, with one mark per year of supervision experience. The entry test exempts candidates who are officials of the Kashmir Government or the University of Kashmir.

• Step 5: Select the desired Preferences (After the last date the Preference of Campus/College selected will not be updated/changed). Click “Next”.
• Step 6: If there is any variation click on the “Previous” button, make the necessary corrections, and then Click “Submit”. Get a printout of the Form and note Form No. for future reference.
• Step 7: Deposit the non-refundable “Application Fee of Rs. 250/- (including Rs. 150/- as IT Fee) and Entrance Test fee of Rs. 500/-“i.e. Rs. 750/- through Online mode only.
• Step 8: Applicant can view the Application details by providing username and password. The applicant is required to make sure that the "Application Status" on the application form is “Fee Received” after 3 days otherwise the application will be treated as incomplete and summarily rejected.
• Step 9: Candidates in their own interest are advised to apply & submit their application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online. Please retain the print-out of the application form for future reference in the Kashmir University admission 2024-25.

Kashmir University Entrance Exam 2024

UGAT Entrance exam scores are checked for granting admission in the IMBA (BBA-MBA) program at Kashmir University. For M.Sc. For biotechnology admission, valid GAT-B scores are required.

• The University of Kashmir offers an M.Phil 2-year master's degree. Students qualified in the graduate professional aptitude test shall be exempt from appearing in the university entrance test. 

There will be 60 questions asked in the  Kashmir University Entrance Test 2024 . The question paper will be multiple-choice based. Each question will carry 1 Mark. All the questions will be based on the prescribed syllabus of each subject.

•  The detailed syllabi and previous year's entrance papers of all PG and other programmes "to which the University is offering admission" are available on the Kashmir University official website (www.kashmiruniversity.net). 
• An entrance Test may not be conducted for admission to a programme/ course where intake capacity is equal to or more than the number of eligible applicants.
• Negative marking shall be @25%, i.e. 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Kashmir University provides reservation to SC/ ST category candidates and students under different categories. Out of total seats, 67% of seats are filled through Open merit category candidates. Ans. Admission to PG courses at KU is based on the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET) conducted by the University. The university allows admission to M.Tech based on a valid GATE score. Admission to MBA is done based on the score obtained in CMAT. Admission to the M.P.Ed is done based on a physical efficiency test conducted by the university. Admission to M.Pharm is based on GPAT scores. Apart from these courses, KU grants admission to the PG courses based on merit secured in the last qualifying examination.

I also applied for Amarsingh College but i got confirmed admission from Islamia college. I chose this college as compared to others because of its high reputation and it's nearby for me. No i could have gotten to Amarsingh i'm other means i changed my mind in the end and chose Islamia because of its Reputation and most importantly many of the courses were not available in Amarsingh College and the course i'm currently pursuing in Islamia college is also not in Amarsingh college. First of all students have to pass the CUET UG entrance exams and according to their choosen subjects in which they pass out they get the eligibility for the respective programmes they want to go further in based upon their CUET score.

I got an admission in University of Kashmir through UGAT entrance examination. After attempting for the UGAT , I applied for the university of kashmir where I showed my merit in UGAT and I got selected. The cutoffs for UGAT usually remain in between to 50-60

If you want to apply to this course you need to qualify the AIMA UGAT exam with minimum marks of 55 and it differs of you have some category. You can find the application of that exam on their website and this exam is held every year in June

• Teaching & non-teaching staff were very friendly & supportive... Teaching quality is quite traditional.
• Infrastructure was quite upto the mark but some improvements were needed.

A student should have 40% percentage in 12th standard to apply for this particular course..The college has its own official website where applicants can check the details of fee,courses, reservations etc..Exams are conducted semester wise after the gap of 6-7 months & difficulty level is medium.. Admission process is very slow & needs to be improved.

• Well to be honest we have good infrastructure.
• SSM has decent campus. Not that good but its okay.
• The management is not that good. I will not say its the worst but neither is it that good.
• Location of the collage. I mean come on its on too of a mountain tbh.

Well the college enrolls students through jk bopee but there are managment seats also. As far as bopee entrence in concerned you have to appear in the exam after which you will be having 3 rounds of counselling where you will be allotted with the collage. And for management admission

• The things that i should appreciate about my college first include the quality’s education i got from my college.

• The faculty of this university is good and they provide good education

The eligibility of my course BBA was 12th with 40% marks and admission was done on the basis of merit in +2 exams. There are reservation benefits available to students like ST, SC, OBC, RBA, EWS etc The frequency of exams is twice a year I,e 2 semesters a year and the difficulty level is moderate I would suggest them to increase the number of seats for BBA course

• Campus is great and rules and regulations are better than any other college of kashmir.
• Sports section provides opportunities for the talented players.
• Scarcity of clean drinking water, sitting space in canteen area is much less.
• Contractual based professors are unbelievably boring.
