Columbia University is currently running its CourseWorks system, powered by Canvas. This version is accessible to persons using most adaptive technology. Ensuring an accessible and pleasant experience to all users, regardless of disability, is a key focus of Canvas. The Canvas platform was built using the most modern HTML and CSS technologies, and is committed to W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative and Section 508 guidelines.

Recommended Screen Readers
- Macintosh: VoiceOver (latest version for Safari)
- PC: JAWS (latest version for Firefox)
- PC: NVDA (latest version for Firefox)
- There is no screen reader support for Canvas in Chrome
Official browser support means that these browsers are actively tested against Canvas code. Canvas may be able to be used in any other browser or screen reader not listed, but official support is not provided. Learn more about supported Canvas browsers .

How can I access CourseWorks to input my textbook information? A: Please contact your departmental administrator, provide your date of birth and ask them to create your UNI in the DIA system. You will have access to CourseWorks 24 hours after UNI creation. Q: Will the textbook information be shared with the University bookstore?
Columbia University Information Technology What is a Collaboration site? Collaboration sites available in support of academic activities for teams or groups of users that need to share information for any period of time not restricted to an academic term.
CourseWorks administrative access is granted to people who: Help faculty develop course Web sites; Assist faculty and/or students use CourseWorks; Perform departmental support staff duties; View content of several courses within a subject area; Conduct evaluation on a department or a school level
Sep 1, 2022 · Once you have logged into Canvas/Courseworks, click on My Courses on the far left. Use the tabs along the top for Current Semester or Next Semester to locate the appropriate course for which you need to enter Textbook and Syllabus information, and then click on the link for that course.
